    2006 Welsh Grand National winner sadly lost to colic aged 24. Evidently enjoyed a happy retirement. R.I.P.

    And nearly followed up under top weight the year after. Sad to hear although glad to hear he had a good retirement. RIP Halcon Genelardais.

    A fantastic stayer and that 4th place in the 2008 GC reads incredibly well.

    Yes, his 4th place behind Denman, Kauto Star and Neptune Collonges, the three Nicholls superstars, was certainly his best run. I’d followed him since watching him win at Warwick as a novice, and he was always game and genuine. So pleased he had a long and happy retirement, with plenty of hunting.
