I am looking at tomorrows Tara Flame EBF stakes at the Curragh where Mr. Weld’s filly Eziyra is current fav and I am a bit confused with the ground description offered up from her recent maiden win at Galway, 26th of July.
Racing Post has it as Yielding to soft but Sporting Life has it as good. Its a big difference and will be a deciding factor on whether or not I give her some of my money.
I feel the track will dry up enough to be good ground for this race (yielding in places at worst) and would be more inclined to back her if her last win was actually on good ground. It may not be a problem for the filly but at her price I want a bit of form on better ground to be a player here.
Anyone have conclusive proof of what the ground was that day?
Thanks in Advance!

Still thinking she might be the way to go at this stage.

Butterflies looks real lay material at her current price.
August 28, 2016 at 09:52 #1261454Not sure it helps but an after race quote from the trainer
“Pat said she´s still a big immature filly and has a lot to learn about racing. A lot of that today was done on raw ability and the ground was probably as slow as she would like. She´s a filly with a lot of potential to be a group filly before the end of the year.”
Winning times on the day don’t appear too slow. - AuthorPosts
