You state horses "always" need a run, and then tip a horse who hasn’t had one?
If you read my post, I tipped up GET ME OUT OF HERE! I said the saver would be on the Henderson horse, because he is the only one who I feel gets horses to a decent standard first time, read my post properly before commenting please.
November 12, 2010 at 07:26 #327626A good night at the poker tables on Full Tilt so Ive just had another go on Menorah at 7-1 again. I very much doubt if Dunguib was in here off a similar mark he’d be anywhere near 7-1. The fact Menorah was only just 5 last season must leave some room for improvement to. Was’nt just the Supreme, that speed figure at Kempton at Xmas was very good to. I can see more to come. Hopefully
November 12, 2010 at 08:13 #327628So you don’t think horses "always" need the run then, so why say it?
November 12, 2010 at 10:30 #327641I think they do, with certain trainers.
November 12, 2010 at 21:01 #327713Tough race to call. Some class acts on display with Menorah, General Miller, GMOOH and Sanctuaire.
I was impressed with all of these horses last season – if i had to put my bankroll one one id choose General Miller E/W @ 8/1

Tough old race, on the assumption that the top two are much the same horses as they were last much then there isnt a awful lot between them and on their best form in the highest grade could make them above this field even with the weights they carry.
couldnt really split them so on that basis im going to take them both in a rfc on the thought that if they both run to the best of their ability here i could benefit in a bigger way

Despite not having a run I would still expect Menorah to strip fitter than Get Me Out of Here who Jonjo will let the horse tell him when he’s ready. Either couldhave the classto win this but if Menorahis as P Hobbs thinks a Champion Hurdle horse he will nearly have to win this.
General Miller and Sactuaire both have the class to win this and Any Given Day is much better than his bare form suggests.
Can’t see anything else winning this.
Nicky Henderson could have given Genral Miller a run a few weeks ago but decided to go straight here. Unlike Menorah and GMOOH this is his main target for the season and thatcan make all the difference at this time of the season.
Any Given Day was quietly fancied for the Tote last season but ran disaapointingly. He came back with a bang and looks sure to go well here.
1. General Miller
2. Any Given Day

It’s too hard to call so I’ll have an each way on Bothy, he’s had a couple of runs on the flat recently so will be fresh and his only loss over hurdles was too Sanctuaire at Cheltenham, but he’s 22lbs better off today.

I’ve had a change of heart (Nacarat syndrome setting in)
Looking at this race again if it were later in the season I’d make it a straight fight between the top two.
Everyone and their uncle says Menorah is fit to run for it’s life and Nicky’s ran a bit flat yesterday…so against my better judgment I’ve gone for Menorah. Just hope he’s in the mood as he has two ways of running.
Menorah
Danger
Any Given Day
November 14, 2010 at 10:49 #327876I made Manyriverstocross my bet of the weekend, so i am hoping for a big run from him.
I think he will run very well, would be disappointed if he wasn’t there or there abouts.
November 14, 2010 at 10:55 #327878As Ive already said a couple of times in this thread, cant see past Menorah. My only bet of the meeting (Ive actually had 3 separate wagers on it). Very pleased the rains stayed away since Friday. Good luck all.
November 14, 2010 at 14:04 #327924Cant see Manyriverstocross winning this strong looking renewal. Dont see too much pace in the field which wont help. Couldnt win the Totesport Trophy over this trip, off probably a much better pace than today has to offer, and is 3lbs higher today. I think the market is buying into the "well handicapped" angle too much for a horse who does not look a 2 mile specialist on all know form.
Lay at 6.4 on BF.

Happy I took the 40/1 yesterday, so close to a big win. Well done to Menorah backers, there must of been a few, he seemed an obvious choice.
November 14, 2010 at 14:25 #327932Well done Supersilver!
November 14, 2010 at 14:26 #327933That was a great finish, and well deserved for Menorah.
International I would think for him now.
November 14, 2010 at 14:27 #327934That was some performance from Menorah, very, very impressive.

Took your advice Bigphil – got 40s e/w with Bet365 this lunchtime – thought i was on for a big win after he came back at Menorah going up the hill.
But hats off to Menorah, as i thought GMOH should’ve beat him in the Supreme Novices in March.
Top weight on that ground today, shows he’s a very versatile horse – must be in with a big shout in the Champion Hurdle. - AuthorPosts
