Knickerbockerglory 25-1 ew for now. Looked alright at Ascot. Will wait and see if they have a go here.
November 6, 2023 at 13:42 #1669547Afadil if he heads here. Needed his comeback badly, yet still travelled well for much of it before blowing up. Happy enough with 20/1 off the back of that.
November 9, 2023 at 10:17 #1669805I agree Jamie, I took a lot from that run, and I’ve had a bet at same price.

November 9, 2023 at 23:51 #1669883Finally had a bet here, and went with Metier.
Very poor over hurdles last year, but that poor form was sandwiched between him landing both The November Handicap and The Chester Cup, so I think he’s worth the risk just over a week from the race.
Ground will surely be to his liking, and I think he’s too big
Still plan to back Benson, but hoping he’s Newcastle bound
Metier 25’s Non Runner
Edit Final Decs
Hey Johnny
November 12, 2023 at 14:00 #1670239Two bets for me right now, if they run, they run if they don’t, they don’t
Black Poppy 16-1 and First Street 20-1
November 13, 2023 at 14:27 #1670369That little bit of sun poking out of the cloud on the Met Office forecast could have an impact on this race!
November 13, 2023 at 16:22 #1670385Had a good look through this again now and Nemean Lion is a strong choice for me here.
Improving, race fit and fine on the ground. Could easily have been put up more than 5lb for hosing up in the Welsh champion hurdle a few weeks ago and that was a decent enough race.
November 13, 2023 at 17:02 #1670389How many horses does Mullins get to run off marks as low as 115? Not many. He keeps sending over that Alvaniy too plus the cost of sending over Hayes to ride it. Something is afoot with both of those horses. We know it’s coming. We just don’t know when.
November 14, 2023 at 19:25 #1670461Onlyamatteroftime cut from 16’s to 4’s despite David Stevens of Coral admitting there’s been very little money for the horse!
Shithouse behaviour of the highest order!
Completely unexposed yes but really poor recent form in the book!
November 14, 2023 at 20:17 #1670464Interesting to see which way the Mullins horse goes. The owner had one running for Emmett Mullins last year who went from a morning price of 9/2 out to 18/1 and ran accordingly
November 14, 2023 at 22:05 #1670468It’s actually a below average renewal with a top OR of 140 but it doesn’t mean something decent won’t come out of it.
The forecast could be key to this race because if the sun does make an appearance there are some stellar Flat pedigrees in this race, Nemean Lion’s being one of the better ones along with Luccia.
The proper NH bred Iberico Lord’s hurdles rating is probably 25lbs + below what he could ultimately achieve over fences. The form of that race he should have won at Sandown got yet another boost at Lingfield today. Just winner after winner has come from that race. Hence why his price has collapsed I guess.
November 14, 2023 at 22:34 #1670470I had taken a look at Iberico Lord, but now he’s collapsed i’ll swerve.
Luccia is interesting Nicky said today they had expected her to need the run last time, sort of explains why Nico went elsewhere. On RPRs her run was her 2nd best, and surely she’ll improve.
Add to the fact, just over a year ago, she almost lost her life, i’d be hopeful she could improve again this season. It’s clear Nicky has rated her…(i know he’s very complimentary with many).
Sonigino actually interests me, that Aintree run is good – he’s on the drift so i’ll wait on that one.
The Byrne WPM runner is crazy + the bookies are just creating headlines again. Yes he’s potentially a shrewd purchase, as a lot of the owners horses are….but as Tizz says, the horses recent is questionable. Should drift to a reasonable price.

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!November 15, 2023 at 12:06 #1670493Agree with above sentiments that this looks a weak renewal.
Sonigino has shaped as though this sort of test would suit. However, he’s a big drifter and is entered in a handicap chase on the same card. Doubt he runs.
Nemean Lion is rightly towards the top of the market but Anyharminasking ran him close at Chepstow and is as big as 16s for this. He slightly disappointed at the track last December but given he didn’t run again last season you’d think something was amiss that day. The yard are impossible to work out/trust but he’s worth an e/w be at the price.
November 15, 2023 at 12:23 #1670496Anyharminasking was one I had a look at, the only trouble with him is his tendency to go left under pressure, he did it last time, he may have won/gone very close otherwise. I wonder if there is a physical issue, I feel there is a big run in him in races like this when all is well. Jonjo said in his stable tour he’s ‘had issues’ that’s why he was off the track for some time. I decided to leave him for this as he’s risky but wouldn’t be overly surprised if he ran better than his 16s price.
November 15, 2023 at 17:45 #1670534I am already on Luccia at 14/1 but I am not hopeful. I thought she put her head in the air last time and did not look like she relished a battle.
I will add something else on the day.
November 15, 2023 at 20:39 #1670550Songino would be my each way play on the day if he’s there.
Travelled beautifully into the race last time out at Chepstow and surely still got improvement left.
