So close Ginger, was going nuts with the 3 of them in contention going to last haha.
Ok it’s a long time since I popped in, but I have to ask: how come so many of you picked Vics Canvas, the 100/1 outsider? What did you know that us lesser mortals didn’t?
I’d bet him when he was runner up at Sandown last season, he ran a screamer, and I thought he looked the winner for a long way in this seasons Becher, when he had my money on him as well. He was possibly looked after in an earlier run, which always catches my eye, and he would have had no concerns whether or not the predicted downpour came. It looked to me as if he was only a 100’s shot down to his age, and I’d have had him a lot shorter off of that Becher Chase run, only 4 months earlier.
At the price, and knowing him reasonably well, I thought the was well worth a pop.
