Long term fancies for this are Kim Roque and The Wallpark
Now that they know Kim Roque can stay, the then I’m sure they’ll target him here. Has to go up the weights, and with entries at Ayr and Sandown, he’ll have ideal opportunities
The Wallpark looks like being wrapped in cotton wool, but I’m sure he’ll have a big win in him next season
Obviously makes sense to look at Mullins team, and I’m fairly confident that Kappa Jy Pyke fits the bill, with the 66’s very tempting. King Alexander another possible too. He would be more debatable, but certainly on my radar
Promontory is another I’d like to see, but he’s got to climb the weights as well. He’s going the right way though, and not an impossibility
The 50’s Kim Roque and 66’s Kappa Jy Pyke just might be taken this week

The WallparkApril 12, 2026 at 11:14 #1763355I’m a hopeless romantic, so I’ve already got I Am Maximus at 16s.
I also think Spillane’s Tower is another one to keep an eye on, and 66s is a really good price.

So don't run, just like the others always do
April 12, 2026 at 14:05 #1763375Be interesting to see how Henderson campaigns Holloway Queen. He’ll probably aim her at the Hennessy first but I’d be protecting her mark for this.
April 12, 2026 at 15:31 #1763383I think that King Of Answers is an interesting one here, given that the yard have a history here. I’m going to take the 50-1 before he runs at Ayr
April 12, 2026 at 15:44 #1763387Connections of Jordons will want another shot at it I’m sure
Went for home far too soon and will be 8 next yearGaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
April 12, 2026 at 21:29 #1763455Barton Snow 50/1 for a return of grand national fairytales.
April 18, 2026 at 01:41 #1764061He’s got a lot to do to make the field here, and a win at Ayr might not be enough, but taken the 66’s on Kim Roque.
Gets beat at Ayr, and probably two bets down for me
Kim Roque 66’s
April 18, 2026 at 08:31 #1764070Laurens Bay not named in the betting but he’s on my radar for this after taking in the Hennessy as his early season target.
April 21, 2026 at 11:57 #1764407Was able to cash out Kim Roque ok, which just makes sense right now. I’ll still bet him again though before his next run
April 23, 2026 at 16:12 #1764562Tickets are already on sale. The Thursday general admission has increased to £32, which is still good value for a card with four Grade 1s.
Boxing Day tickets for only £20 are a snip as well.
April 26, 2026 at 13:12 #1764920I think they’ll quite rightly do all they can for I Am Maximus to win it a third time, but I also think this will be the main target again for Grangeclare West. I’ve had an early bet at 25/1
April 26, 2026 at 21:50 #1764962Taken the 66’s on Kappa Jy Pyke. Really do think he’s up to it, and will know Tuesday whether it’s a waste or not. Definitely more risky than Kim Roque, as I won’t be able to cash this one out
Kappa Jy Pyke 66’s
