I’ve kinda lost interest in the whole Gordon Elliott saga.

Trainer confirms he treats dead horses the same way a used car dealer treats write offs by sitting on one, rightly gets a ban and is now, like it or not, back.

I doubt if Magnier had any interest in the saga in the first place.

Elliott’s a successful trainer, so he’s sent him a horse to train – simple as and end of.

I’m as much surpirised that Joseph doesn’t get the Magniers rare jumpers. If it was a match between Elliott / O’Brien Jnr when this horse was getting distributed, I’d have had Elliott a long enough price.

But I am a bit curious as to why you actually care on this one.

Like me, you certainly don’t look up to these people and I was trying in vain to see if there was a shrewd TTC betting angle attached to this speculation!

As a punter, I’ve always been a fan of “the baby Joseph.”

I thought he rode Epsom on St Nicholas Abbey, Camelot and Australia (who I had 8/1 about ante-post) with the same ice-cool as Lester Piggott on Sir Ivor, Nijinsky etc, he seems a shrewd trainer and IMO a very interesting observation from APracing about little leaving his yard and going on to better things.

For sure, he’s had all life’s advantages but plenty squander that silver spoon edge.

I shall watch with interest to see how “the horse he never got” gets along with Elliott.

I wonder if Elliott has had to give a bit of discount to keep some owners , these rich business men don’t get the wedge they do without knowing how to take advantage of a situation
