Good stuff, some nice winners there KF.
You were unlucky with Barney McGrew as well. He was the only horse I bet this week, and thought beforehand, that he had a solid ew chance at a decent price, but he just didn’t get a run. Worth another look I think in the future.

Cheers.
Gord.May 14, 2011 at 10:49 #355385Whats the biggest certainty of the weekend?
Canford Cliffs
at 4/5 or
Wootton Bassett
at 7/4.The Lockinge looks a cracker,i am loyal to my horses and have 3 in this that have been good to me,i have been hoping for rain all week just to make my decision easy and that would have been
Cityscape
at around the 16/1 mark,he is a Group 1 winner in waiting,it doesn’t look like transpiring though. If the ground stays as it is i have to stay loyal to
Red Jazz
,i have always thought the world of this colt and he did me proud getting placed behind Poets Voice and Rip Van winkle at 66/1 last year.If someone said you have to have a £1000 win on one horse in it though i would say Dick Turpin even though he looks more like Black Bess.
Red Jazz
£50 e/w 10/1 (without fav) 3 places Paddy Power.
£3306
May 14, 2011 at 11:14 #355390My banker of the weekend is
Wootton Bassett
,one of only 2 3yo’s who would give the Monster Frankel a race,if he turns up and runs to form he wins, simple as that,no need to elaborate.
Wootton Bassett
£400 win 7/4 Paddy Power Frch 2000gns.
£2906
May 14, 2011 at 12:18 #355402I cant understand why Pollys mark is the 15/8fav for the Aston Park Stakes today as i make it a match between the one paced Akmal who loves fast ground and Luca Cumanis
Drunken sailor
,i prefer the latter as he has ran some great races in defeat, notably against my pal Overturn,he gave him a stone in the Pitmens Derby last year and almost the same against the useful Free Agent later on at York,he deserves this.
Drunken Sailor
£300 win 100/30 Stan James, 2,0pm Newbury.
£3606
May 14, 2011 at 14:22 #355417The 5,0pm at Thirsk today has just caught my eye as 2 of my old pals are running in the 5f sprint there,
Strike up the Band
and Indian Trail,i notice Strike is over twice the price of the Indian and its very rare i get Dandys horses wrong,i am confident Strike will beat Indian, even with the assistance of Trotter,i just hope he can beat the rest of the field for a change.
Strike up the Band
£50 e/w 16/1 Bluesq 5,0pm Thirsk
£3506
May 14, 2011 at 15:19 #355434The ‘Al Rayan’ is proving to be one helluva form guide to future winners and horses who have ran exceptionally since,i backed
Novellen lad
earlier today at 24’s on the machine because he had contended it,it helped that he had given weight to the likes of Hawkeyethenoo too in the past but thats another story, the horse i watched that day was Dandys
Silaah
who tried to make all and his finishing position doesn’t tell the whole story,i think today back at his home course at Thirsk,Silaah will fly out of box 12 grab the rail and make all,i like Dandys horses at Thirsk and have been lucky with the likes of Fol Hollow,Machinist and Valery Borzov in the past.Watch the Masta do me now!
Silaah
£300 win 3/1 Stan James 4,25pm Thirsk
£3206

http://horses.sportinglife.com/Video/Ra … 86,00.htmlIts only taken the handicapper about 5 yrs to realise
Strike up the band
is not a Group horse and of all the horses to do him on the line its one who just loves to stick his head out,the freeze frame shows just how far Strikes backend is in front of Le Toreadors. That was a sickener!
May 14, 2011 at 17:54 #355461I saw he was beaten a short-head, sickener for you.
May 14, 2011 at 21:02 #355481Go away, TAPK.

I guess the temptation to cozy up to Dandy was just too much for you to resist.
How’s tricks, Gord?
May 15, 2011 at 02:42 #355503Ginger realised after the opening post, I realised when he put up Red Jazz, now Armchair Jockey’s worked it out. Tut tut, you’re awful at concealing your identity, Gord.

It was the first time I’d looked at the thread; in hindsight, the quotation marks in the title were a giveaway.
You need a cloak of invisibility or something, Gord.
May 15, 2011 at 09:21 #355514It was way obvious well before this thread started up all you had to do was see Kingfishers love for birds, animals and nature gave the game away. I bet he’s got a poster of Nemo in his bedroom……….

May 15, 2011 at 11:54 #355531A big day in France today and i like the look of
Helleborine
in their version of the 1000gns,i would fancy her more in their 11/4m Oaks but you need a filly thats got a bit of stamina in these classics and i am not convinced the British challengers have,we will see.
Helleborine
£200 e/w 11/2 Tote French 1000gns today.
£3056
