Well I’ll be cheering on
Lilys Angel
today, she deserves a chance at this level,we’ll see how she’s developed over the winter. At least her fighting spirits already there so fingers crossed!
I’m afraid I rate thisPerrenial
(2/1’s all gone) a bit higher than ‘Jungle Beat darren but today will tell us who’s wintered the best,Money talks with the ‘Tabor’ horses so if he goes off Fav,you’re in!
April 18, 2012 at 10:57 #401283KF: I will have one for you tomorrow that the yard he hails from believe he could be a very nice horse indeed!
More to come
April 18, 2012 at 11:10 #401286KF: BTW did you back Global Village? See comments from 2 Apr

What a price too, marked up at 5/2 in the tissue, i was going to leave him alone BUT the markets were weak and he went off 9/2 and won pulling the proverbial cart!! Very good ride and could well win again very soon (entered Saturday at Newbury).
April 18, 2012 at 17:41 #401309Gord just to say well done at Aintree Sunnyhillyboy winning would of top it off for you.
What you think of SPIRIT SON i think if he gets the ok he be number one horse in the stable for the champ hurdle.
GENKI and MARTIN CHUZZLEWIT i like at Newmarket any thoughts on the card there.

Saturday was a bad day for the King of foresight darren,Losing my pal
Synchronised
like that hurt………….a lot more than the £5000 I was Robbed of!
Sunnyhill Boys
defeat was a sickener particularly as I was the first person to put him up at 40/1 and had backed him accordingly but I did him e/w and to place so I covered my Ass as per usual. I have spent all week refurbishing my hallway and stairs so haven’t really been watching ‘Live’ racing,I watch all the replays in the evening, what I will say is this
Trumpet Major
has No chance of winning the 2000 gns,
Camelot
will carry him!
April 20, 2012 at 11:34 #401521Ok gord i thought you done ok at aintree as last time i saw you had Silvianio Conti and Darlan.
Any thoughts on the racing at Newbury today there are some intresting races the maidens look decent horses like POPULAR,VOW the Highclere horse as well. Some nice pedigrees there.
April 20, 2012 at 13:36 #401530Darren incredibly I too am looking forward to seeing (Later on tonight) the Motivator filly
Vow
,
Popular
,
Selfara
and
Revelette
, its a cracking card!
Tomorrow,I cant splitFury
and
Captain Bertie
in the Spring mile, their ‘Doncaster’ performances gives the latter the nod at theses weights!
April 20, 2012 at 13:55 #401531KF: Galaxy Rock and Mostly Bob for me tomoz ante post for the Jockanese national.
In the concluding bumper at Ayr take a look at the debut race of Duke of Navan, finished behind his well backed stablemate on debut and was NOT given a hard race. Hendo normally wins this race and a lot of the top trainers send reps so this lad will be a decent price.
April 20, 2012 at 17:09 #401543Gord i tipped up Vow and ENGLISHMAN in my thread and both look decent horses to follow this season. And the other Haggas horse won very well to.What you think of the maiden races today
CAPTAIN BERTIE i am on tomorrow.
Any thoughts on the Scottish national i like PORTRAIT KING.
April 20, 2012 at 20:21 #401577Any thoughts on the Scottish national i like PORTRAIT KING.
darren the ground is critical for
Juniors
chances,if it pours down he wont run,on genuinely good ground
HE CAN GIVE 2 STONE TO MERIGO
and beat him! ‘Portrait King’ did me a big turn in the Eider,I rate him as the main danger but it reallu depends on the ground! The softer the better for
Fury
though, its too close to call with him and ‘The Captain’!I haven’t had time to watch the maidens yet but I will……….and report back later mate!

Being a massive supporter of the JJ,O’Neill yard I honestly thought
Galaxy Rock
was being prepped for the ‘Whitbread’ GDC!
YourMostly Bob
will be well suited to the race as he’s as slow as a snail,he’ll be a player at the death though! I’ll take a peak at this ‘Horatio’ Hornblower’…..I mean ‘Duke of Navan’ later!
April 20, 2012 at 21:32 #401588Anyone who watched the racing at Newbury today will be singing the praises of both
Vow
and
Sentaril
,both William Haggas trained 3yo maidens, yes both were visually dynamic, particularly the latter,BUT,I’m a Clock watcher and neither posted anything like quality times.
Ektihaam
a failed Dewhurst contender gives a bit more credence to ‘Vow’ but I dont think time will show any Group 1 winners from today. Clocking 2m,20secs tells you the ground was Soft for a 11/4m race at Newbury but thats still bloody slow,on good ground you are defineately looking much nearer the 2min mark!
Captain Dunne
hates soft ground and yet he got through it in the fastest time of the day! Treat todays results with Caution,20/1 ‘Vow’ for the Oaks……….
April 20, 2012 at 21:44 #401592KF: I have been told Paul Mulrennan will win easily tomorrow at Nottingham in the 700, MISTRESS OF ROME will love the ground and be held up and hopefully come late and pick them all up.
Taken 5s with 365 and will have some more in the morning if others offer better.
April 21, 2012 at 12:19 #401646I have taken 8/1 in the week with Hills about
Fury
winning the Spring Cup today and have strolled up town to Ladbrokes for the 6/1 today,I was ultra confident of him winning the Lincoln,he got beat a length into 3rd but had the ground been Soft he would have Won,he just didn’t let himself down on the ground at Doncaster and gave the impression he was running on the spot,he’s got top weight but deserves it.A year ago he was being trained for the 2000gns,this Spring Cup will suit a lot more than that and I expect at least a place today,Kieran will shovel the coals on and he’ll respond,we’ll see the ‘Real’ Fury today! The only danger imo is
Captain Bertie
,he too has a profile of a horse on an upward curve,my only concern is he does like a good break between his races but if he repeats his Doncaster Spring Mile run,he’s a massive danger.I’ve taken 9’s and 7’s on the machine for this one!
Fury
£150 e/w 6/1 Ladbrokes
£100 e/w 6/1 Bet365 Spring Cup.£925
April 21, 2012 at 12:38 #401649What you think of JUNGLE BEAT a horse that is trained by Gosden and owned by Tabor and the gang same colours as Seville he is.I find him a intresting horse i do.
Never been a fan of
Storm Cats
progeny Darren,i dont think he’ll stay either to be honest.
Swedish sailor
did win his maiden well,i liked the Cecil/Abdulla colt that day,he will stay no problem but its early days yet.
Been waiting for that one darren!
Very well regarded at Warren Place!April 21, 2012 at 12:51 #401651No surprises what I’m on in the Scottish National,he hasn’t got Aintree style fences to contend with this week, mind you he has his own way over getting over ‘normal’ fences does
Junior
!
Top weight is a stopper but this fellow has an engine,he’ll stay alright, granted Good ground he’ll blunder his way round and make them all go,’Portrait King’ is a major danger as is ‘Knockara Beau’ at the weights,as for the ‘Specialist’ ‘Merigo’ No Chance!Bloody fav too!Junior
£150 e/w 16/1 Bet365 (5 places) Scottish National
£625
