Are they giving up on the game Big massive news they have brought Scottish! Scottish? if they cant bread Classic winners or true group one horses what do they do instead of going to the Galileo they go after heritage handicaps! with Scottish
May 22, 2016 at 09:41 #1247973Can’t beat some Scottish on any team Folly!!
May 22, 2016 at 12:47 #1247995What a strange purchase. Scottish!
It was interesting to see another of their acquisitions Deningy showing early signs of ruination after moving to Charlie Appleby’s yard.
He was unlucky not to beat Create A Dream at Ascot on his debut, but refused to even go into the stalls yesterday. Good work team!
May 22, 2016 at 13:49 #1248003He’s entered in the Brigadier Gerard at Sandown on Thursday and also in the Hardwicke at Royal Ascot.
The longer term sees him entered in The Eclipse, so it looks like they are hopeful of improvement.
The horse is rated 113 for now and he could be better than that.
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
May 22, 2016 at 16:17 #1248012lol cormack i like the name but very strange buy no way a group one horse imo maybe a Dubai project
May 22, 2016 at 16:39 #1248014Was it a purchase or a gift? Mr and Mrs Hay, the previous owners, are long term residents of Dubai – if they offered the horse to Sheikh Mohammed as a gift, it would be seen as a massive insult to refuse to accept him.
May 22, 2016 at 16:43 #1248015Good point Apracing maybe
May 22, 2016 at 17:16 #1248016I think it was second to Highland Reel last year. That is pretty good form isn’t it?
And it may be open to serious improvement.
May 22, 2016 at 20:15 #1248024It’s one thing accepting a gift to avoid seeming rude but you don’t have to go entering it in group 1 races into the bargain.
Scottish is 20/1 for the Hardwicke and I think I would rather take him at that price than Eagle Top at 5/1 for the same race. There is a shed load of chaff in that betting market.
We will see how he goes if he runs on Thursday with William Buick on board. Western Hymn is jocked up and won the race last season.
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
May 24, 2016 at 10:53 #1248175Scottish has been declared for the Brigadier Gerard, but only as an afterthought when the race was re-opened after the normal 10 a.m. deadline, at which point there were only five runners.
Fire Fighting was the other one to be added.
