Sorry, everything stopped for tea although I have to point out
that Red Rum hit a beauty with 40/1 shot Witness Stand and
walked off with 50 points :yahoo:

After doing jury service a couple of weeks ago, it was calling out to me. However didn’t back it.

Well it was a 5 day marathon and the winner of
the Glorious Goodwood Competition is TONGE :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:
Very well deserved Catherine, you were consistant day
after day. Very well deserved win :good:

I’ts myself and Hot Fuss who lock arms for the joint
2nd place. What a terrific start you had HF, I thought
you were off with the competition at one point, but I
think the week just got harder and harder. Congratulations
on the runners-up spot and I’m more than happy to share
    it with you.

Nathan you came with some rattle at the end and finished
just a few points off the podium. Brilliant attempt mate :good:

Some great bets pulled off, none less than Red Rums 40/1 shot
Witness Stand for 50 points and Rob North napped Paradias in
the last, 8/1 and 22 points doubled up to 44′

It’e been a great week, although I think I’ll go and lie down
in a darkened room now

A special thanks to Jac (Triptych) who gave me a break by doing
the 1st round results. Much appreciated Jac :good:

Thanks everyone that took place, the scores swung this way and
that but it was a great week. Many thanks :good:

On reflection Nathan, I think that you qualify for 3rd as Hot Fuss and I shared
the 2nd spot. It looks better with a full podium and after today’s effort I reckon
you’re due it. Well done mate :good:

Well done Catherine :good: :good: I hope you had a great day in situ so to speak :good:
Also congrats to Hot Fuss and Big G for their podium finishes :good: :good:

Graham and to a lesser degree Jac super job running this and thanks for stepping in :good: :good:

Finally Graham my score is wrong I think. I should have 48pts Great Bedwyn 10pts Night Sparkle 10pts Cover Up 4pts Piz Nair 10pts and Spell Master 14pts = 48pts. I only mention it because it means I win the household comp :yahoo: :yahoo:

And last of all don’t forget York is next and we will be back for that and let Graham and Jac have a rest and recover because Goodwood is always a marathon and one of the tougher ones to run :good:

:good: Just like to say thank you very much to Graham (and Jac on the first day, of course) for doing such a stellar job with this competition. It was certainly exciting to see the scores at the top ebbing and flowing and wondering who would finally take the gold medal! :good:

Well done to Tonge for pipping them all at the post – you finally managed to “de-superglue” yourself from your favoured 2nd position after all! :yahoo:

Raymo managed to beat me after all, so I will gladly hand over the ryvitas to him! :yahoo:

Well done Tonge. Hard luck Hot Fuss just running out of puff after an electric start!

Thanks BigG for the hard graft in running the competition and for fitting in time to select well enough to get in the frame.

I came a rather flattering eighth, ‘dwelt, well behind early, headway final furlong, never nearer’!

:yahoo: Congratulations Catherine for worthy victory in a tough contest, I bet you are smiling from ear to ear for winning this. Hope you managed to slay the bookies at Goodwood races today into the bargain :yahoo:
Also well played Hot Fuss for the first three days and then the wheels fell off, but you had built up such a pack of points that you managed to hang on the second place jointly shared with Graham who put in constantly good scores each day whilst managing to run this competition for us and making it so much fun into the bargain.
Nathan you played a blinder too and a well deserved 3rd place. :good:
Well done to Raymo for just winning the Ryvitas  drink lots of water with them…lol

Take a bow Graham and then go for a nice long lye down and put your feet up, big big thank you for doing this.
I had the easy day (no columns) you did the brunt of this and it is always a tough one to run.
All the best for your operation tomorrow, we will be thinking of you.
    Jac :rose:
