That was just over six hours ago this Monday afternoon.
They’ve had 3mm rain since, it’s drizzling now and there is 3mm forecast the next 24 hours.
The latest official going description is “Good to Soft,” but never confuse the word “official” with the word “accurate.”

Rain has stopped now and it doesn’t look like it’ll rain again any time soon, still very overcast though.
Weather looks clear at the moment, a few clouds but none that look like they’re carrying any rain, windy too (headwind down the straight west to east) so probably good to soft (but on the softer side I’d assume) today, haven’t bumped into the Clerk yet so haven’t managed to ask him.

No rain in sight it’s been dry ever since yesturday and the wind has really dropped, still a touch windy but nothing out of the ordinary, can’t imagine this level of wind will have any impact on the front runners, in fact it’s even a slight south to north wind now

With all of the loose objects like benches/tables and all of the temporary structures like marquees and gazebos, it could become a little dangerous if the forecast is correct and we get wind gusts between 40-50mph. It’s not something I would have thought about, but they cancelled a day of the Goodwood Festival of Speed a couple of weeks ago for that exact reason. To be honest I hadn’t realised the forecast was quite so bad until this evening otherwise I would have asked about it today.
