    Looking at Timeform’s weekend assessment, I totally agree with Keith Melrose’s take on Arod for the Sussex:

    There may be Gleneagles and Solow in the field, but 16/1 is too big to ignore. Arod is improving, acts well on the likely firm(ish) surface and might get a soft lead. Gleneagles did not have a pacemaker at Ascot and hopefully will be the same here. Solow is a probable runner, but could go elsewhere if it gets very firm. Third favourite Night Of Thunder is said to want rain to run, so no more than 50-50.
