Sandown wasn’t very kind to you today Ginge, Ryan Moore and I totally agree with you about the Fattsotta ride by Hughsie being abject.
Loves to front run, held back in a 4 runner and if something was amiss then why hold him back and not do a pull up ?
    Strange that one.

Certainly disappointing Blue. Soapy shortened up considerably (to a daft price) but let others get in front of him on the rail and then appeared to slow it down. SA got penned in and couldn’t get out. But in all honesty didn’t make enough ground in the final half furlong to suggest he’d been unlucky.

Fattsota, well as you say very strange indeed. Although should’ve saved on the winner (usually tracks pace) instead of the – always held up – fav.

Meccas Angel is the best racehorse in this race, but she has a penalty. Non-runner at Royal Ascot because of the ground and the showers around are far from certain to hit Sandown. Waady is improving, goes well on good-firm and has three wins at the track. Probably needs luck in running coming from the back. But with Cotai Glory, Iffranesia, Stepper Point, Meadway and Justineo in the declatations – there’ll probably be enough pace in the race to find a way through.

Of the others: Medicean Man seems an Ascot specialist, Kingsgate Native inconsistent, Maarek’s best seems with some give. Salt Island ran really well at Ascot, needs to step up agiain over a new (shorter) trip. Moviesta and Stepper Point need to return to last year’s best.

With Cotai Glory, Iffranesia, Meadway and Justineo not running, Stepper Point is the only front runner left in the race. Hope Waady finds a way through. Obviously am glad I took the 6/1 (now 5/2 and that’s only available in one place) but – even with the race cutting up – at that price would be opposing him.
