Value Is EverythingJune 23, 2018 at 22:34 #1358372Royal Ascot:
Tuesday -25 points. Main bet Calyx winning and Without Parole saver from four races.
Wednesday +64.75 points. Aljazzi winning and Poet’s Word a saver from four races.
Thursday +288.5 points. Main bets Magic Wand and Stradivarius winning from two races.
Friday +416.65 points. Main bets Old Persian and Alpha Centauri and saver Eqtidaar all winning from three races.
Saturday -146.66 points. Last day didn’t go quite as planned. What might have been. Two winners and a place from four races, yet a loss on the day. Crystal Ocean won, but Barsanti failed in the betting without market so just scraped a profit in the Hardwicke. Saver Merchant Navy just held on from what would’ve been a big win with City Lights in the Jubilee (another main bet The Tin Man unlucky in running and not forgetting Harry Angel). Even suggested forecast bets in the Royal Ascot section with four horses including first two Merchant Navy and City Lights and didn’t do them myself! Count Octave each way shortened considerably but couldn’t get the better of his owner companion. Got some back from that but my other ew bet failed in that race (small race loss). Race that went completely wrong was the Chesham. Still a very good Royal Ascot for me.Royal Ascot total +598.24 points profit

Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
June 25, 2018 at 01:29 #1358493Yes Nathan, got no doubt he’s top class, although may be showed too much speed, imo no more than 60-40 to stay a mile. Plenty of time for things could go wrong, Last year things were going so well for both Guineas, not only on Clemmie, but also Alpha Centauri and – in the same colours as calyx – Expert Eye. Latter got down to 3/1 for the 2000 G before flopping in the Dewhurst.

Wasn’t much liquidity last night – but still 4.1 available. But me being a greedy XXXX put a bet up @ 4.2. Only a small amount taken overnight and by the time I was up and about this morning down to 3.3. Aaaaaaaaaggggghhhhhhhhh!!!

A little is better than none at all I suppose. Going to feel bad if it wins and bad if it doesn’t though.

Xxxx it!
I’ve relented and taken the 9/4 myself now, as that bet and the one I got at the bigger price combined means I beat my idea of it’s fair chance. But can’t put it up here @ 9/4.Value Is Everything - AuthorPosts
