I could get used to this Ginge.

I opened my bank with 600 points backed 33 horses in in 13 races 8 winning bets total liability,= 834.37 points, profit on the day 222.52 points. As I am just trying it out I am working on 1 pound to 1 point. My largest single bet today was 100 points at 2 on the machine my smallest was 4 points the average was 25.3 so I can see no reason why that can’t be done to 10 fold if sticking to the exchanges.

To answer your question on whether I will be making a book or not the answer is no way. I’m not even studying form in most races I’m just playing it by ear. What I did change was the method of betting. I have a spreadsheet that works out my stakes so that no matter which selection wins the return is the same. If the lowest priced horse wins I make a bit more profit than I would if a long shot wins. I’ve set the spreadsheet to win 100 points per winner less the stakes of any other selections in the same race.

Tell you what mate. It was a lot more fun and more relaxing than backing just one horse and waiting 3 hours to have your next bet.

Be a bit careful, you’ll find a good strike but when a losing run happens it can hurt much more than backing one horse in a race.
