Dire stuff that first half. Beavers looked like the team that I thought might be relegation material earlier in season. Forest look nervous and looked like they’d settle for a draw today. Beavers sometimes up the ante in the 2nd half and should draw a few more cards and maybe score! 11/4 not bad to maintain an interest!
I’m afraid enduring two bog-standard PL goals preceded by some 90 mins of pedestrian pig-swish last Saturday has left me reluctant even to part with my fiver this evening but here’s my idea of a reasonable 2/1 bet!

Boyles featured 16/5 bet builder worth considering too as I’m anticipating mistakes and therefore goals. 2 goals each half @ 9/2 also tempts. Should be best match tonight!
Not an ideal game to break a losing sequence but hoping for a decent match at least with so much psychologically at stake!
Initially thinking the more imaginative counter-attacking visitors might prevail but on reflection the big wide pitch may be challenging. Only still in the PL game because of Fortress Elland! And they’ll probably be working off 33% possession.
So I’ll give my nod to the boring Irons to grind it out – well steeled following their tussle with the Bees in the last round.Paddy’s WOP might give me more minutes in the game than an Irons Win to Nil @ 4/1 and is worth a fiver!

May limit my GAA bets to the Championship semi-finals and final – between Kerry failing to turn up in a meaningful way in the League Final and that “It’s showtime” France England Six Nations match enough to turn anyone off sports betting!
Had to take the 7/4 about Bayern lifting the CL Cup – particularly impressed by their performance in the Bernabeu against Madrid. Great all round stature, individual skills and almost telepathic passing. Not so impressive at home granted. But can they impose their excellent German game against PSG? This semi is the real final IMHO

Had a few quid on PSG 6/4 tonight; even at 5-2 up it didn’t feel safe; both teams seem so open at the back. One of the best games I’ve ever watched; maybe bayern to qualify nowGunners would do well to treat tonight as a dry run for the final. We saw last night how below par PL football is and tonight is a final Chance for them to sharpen up their act. They should benefit from a faster pitch than prevailed in Madrid. Bayern were out of it when 5-2 down but PSG were out of it in the final quarter of the first leg so very even clash awaits methinks. Germans need to give the French a thorough physical examination in the first half and concentrate on goal-scoring in the second half and in extra time if necessary.

Don’t fancy the Tiggers getting to the final but there must be a good chance they’ll get the ball over the line somehow tonight against the London Tractor Boys! They may need 10 corners of intensity to generate that goal!

Both Boro and Saints look like teams that can score and concede and well able to crowd the boxes. Boro the more classy passing side – put a hex on them when I said they were the Arsenal of the Championship when riding high mid season!
