Fatally injured on the final circuit in the 1.20 at Plumpton today. It happened while running downhill before the 3rd last flight. Now of course this incident was very unlucky and people might suggest it could have happened anywhere. I fully agree with that. But what about the ATR commentators today? Why can’t they mention the injured horse first. Mick Fitz – who is at least half blind by the way he analyses a race – doesn’t even seem to care about injured horses. He never mentions them. Maybe a bit too harsh on him, but that’s my impression and you could expect more from a good jockey.

Mick Fitz & others also guilty of this should think of those viewing who actually care about how horses have fared after each race.Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...November 7, 2012 at 08:52 #419347Rip, little one.
Funny, I usually find Mick slightly better at picking up on this side of things than some of the others.
Mind you the Irish commentators are the worst. Always say when a jockey is up, but the horse. Forget it.
