Agree Troy was quite weak before the off, no late money.
Ground reported as good on Paris Turf
Some showers possible in Paris tomorrow, heavier thunder ones possible in afternoon!May 12, 2024 at 06:13 #1694039O’Brien sees this as very much an educational trip to Paris for Diego with French Derby in mind. “Diego not as quick as Henry”
Frank assessment from O’Brien on the pair in Scott Burton’s RP Preview
Ground will dry out ahead of
any showersMay 12, 2024 at 10:28 #1694059“Diego is not as quick as Henry”
Is he talking about Henry Adams?? Because the world and her husband knows he’s not as quick as Longfellow

May 12, 2024 at 11:03 #1694063The whole statement was “Diego not as quick as Henry over 100 metres”. I need another look at the race but I can’t imagine getting involved. Unless Henry goes out in price a bit.
Edit – Have put him in a dooble with Both teams to score Gil Vicente v Farense.
May 12, 2024 at 11:21 #1694066I’m quicker than Diego over 100 metres…

May 12, 2024 at 14:54 #1694084Henry Longfellow to win this.
However having an EW punt on
Alcantor – 25/1
He just didn’t look happy when he came over to run in The Craven at Newmarket and once Hateem pressed on Barzelona wasn’t too hard on him. Nothing was catching the front running horses at that Meeting and back on his home ground expecting him to put in a bold show.
Cannot believe he is priced at 25/1 for one bad run in his career.
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...May 12, 2024 at 15:29 #1694096Beauvatier e/w 4 places for me
Will need some luck in running as he’s likely to be held up
But he does have a cracking turn of foot
Should come forward plenty for his prep run

May 12, 2024 at 15:49 #1694103Needed this rain in the 1000 Guineas
May 12, 2024 at 16:12 #1694106So who’s slagging Diego now?
Could have won that!May 12, 2024 at 16:13 #1694107Very nice run from him.
I knew my fate when he outspeeded Beauvatier to the turn.May 12, 2024 at 16:17 #1694108Dunno what to make of Henry Longfellow. Attheraces woman saying he got a bad run through/was unlucky, to me he couldn’t lay up early and got behind and even Diego made him look slow ;o)
May 12, 2024 at 16:20 #1694110Diego ran very well over the trip. You’d expect him to improve for the run plus a step up in trip. I’d say he was possibly slightly backward as a two year old but whereas some don’t train on he looks to have thrived for winter on his back.
Moore should have used more of Longfellow early, he must know how tricky it can be around there and was outsmarted by every jockey in the race.
Henry like Diego should come on for the run which has been the trait of Aidan’s so far this year. Where does he go next? Irish guineas? St James Palace or maybe Eclipse?Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
May 12, 2024 at 16:21 #1694111Needed that 5/1 place paid for Alcantor 25/1 3rd..thank you very much.
Well done anyone on the winner..

The Guineas Classics have certainly thrown up some mixed results so far.
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...May 12, 2024 at 16:46 #1694116Ah mike come on now, he was given a howler, not entirely ryans fault, but he was trapped and bumped at every stage, proper line through that moment
Wouldnt be forgiving COT in the british version as easily
But i do feel henry had a howler there
Probably worth keeping note of which of aidens 3yo’s are winning first time out, everythings looked like needing a run, there doing well to be winning a FTO
