Vote here for your Forumite of the Year 2008 (Apologies to the nominees who have been left out of the final vote – letter bombs, hate mail or cheques to Cormack15)
December 6, 2008 at 04:15 #194750Cant Split Grasshopper and Fist of fury2k8 so i shall vote for both.these
guys have always got a response and obviously know their stuff!December 6, 2008 at 04:30 #194759OK, ok – I’ve reconfigured the forum to allow more poll options!
December 6, 2008 at 04:49 #194770Hard choice and good luck to everyone on the list. I’ve gone for Andrew Hughes for his wide range of knowledge on all topics which are always good to read plus he likes cricket and has the best surname on the forum.

December 6, 2008 at 05:13 #194779Grayson for me.
Loves low grade jumping and has some similar musical tastes as myself.
December 6, 2008 at 05:24 #194789Fist of Fury – he knows his racing, his posts are entertaining and he has a canny knack for p*ssing everyone off

Yup I’ve voted for him because of that too. Well the love of low grade jumping thing. As for his musical tastes…….well it takes all sorts
December 6, 2008 at 13:50 #194825Fists of Fury.
As I said previously, sometimes contentious, often contradictory, but good entertainment value nevertheless. He stands up to the bullies and his critics, and basically doesn’t give a toss and calls it as he sees it. Admirable qualities.

December 6, 2008 at 15:15 #194838Paul for me, most consistent and quality stuff , special mention to Glenn and the wooly one but for whom this small outpost in cyberspace would be very dull

Bulwark, either you have wrote my name down instead of Andrew Hughes or you have been drinking something strong this morning.
Whilst were at it would also like to mention David Brady for his hard work in the competition section and his overall contribution to the forum. Neil Watson’s post’s are always worth a read and Wakeman for keeping the general sports section going with his golf and football threads.

December 6, 2008 at 17:32 #194863Fist Of Fury – He puts life into the forums and is never afraid to say it as he sees it.
Also he has a sense of humour sadly lacking in some members.
December 6, 2008 at 19:20 #194883Fists STOP voting for yourself

Nice one Bulwark
December 6, 2008 at 19:28 #194885If it comes to racing knowledge I have yet to come across anyone who can live with Rob North
Rob impresses me everytime I read his posts. A true Formite!!! Never loses he head and talks oodles of sense.
Friggo is one of my favs along with Equitrack..they take the bait everytime

Ginge is bombproof!! "H" and Gareth are real gentlemen. Ian has a great insight into the game as have Andrew, Carv, Imp, Irish, JohnJ, Jeremy, AT, Aragorn and what about BOS? The work he puts into his posts is amazing.
Grasshopper:- The crack is great but he just misses out on my vote as he is too much like me

Beckie enters my list as she is so wonderfully loyal to her horses which speaks volumes for the girl. I’m just glad she aint a moderator

Special mention to Rory (How he isn’t on the list I will never know) The guy is a laugh a minute if you read his posts carefully. Rory has forgotten more about past races than I could ever get into my head,,,,,,Often short and straight to the point but talks a lot of sense.
The list is way too short IMO and if I missed you sorry and of course Bullwark who I just had to edit my post for. This guy finds horses at amazing ante post prices most of which I have never heard of………unfortunately some are never heard of again
….but seriously another grafter who talks a lot of sense and can dig them out better than anyoneDecember 7, 2008 at 05:41 #195030And a very big shout to Bob Rolf whose Bob’s 4PP remains at the heart of the forum and rides into its tenth year this year.
December 7, 2008 at 09:18 #195061Forgot to give a shout out to Bob Rolf, BOOOBBBBBB!!!!!!!! A well deserved pat on the back for ten years of dedication. I missed the start of the 2008/2009 comp today though, through being hungover and one thing and another

Also forgot to mention DavidBrady earlier too, I think when you are trying to think of everyone you just end up taking some people for granted, which isnt good in some ways but I suppose, as with bob, it is a statement in itself in other ways as to how well established some people are that they are part of the forum furniture.
Nathan Hughes, it wasnt a mistake putting your name in, I just thought that you had contributed well to many of the discussions that I had been involved in at some level throughout the year, and no big shout out to you would be blatant discrimination against the west country folk, which also includes Apracing, who now that I think about it I also forgot to include in my earlier shout out, and on the subject of people whos name begins with A Aragorn too. And also forgot Shadowleader, Jilly and TDK.
Actually now that I think about it, I have forgotten quite a few people, so to conclude I would just like to say "Merry Christmas, Every One"
December 7, 2008 at 09:33 #195064I didn’t get him from the start – and it stood out like a sore thumb – but soon enough I started to embrace Grasshopper’s devilish and delicious wit and mudslinging of the flat. And now I really appreciate it – WHOAAAA GWASSHOPPER!
And of course, this guy called Cormack who runs the forum.
