I did Nathan, I always wanted to go there one year and I’m delighted to have done it now. The atmosphere there on Tuesday was phenomenal. The crowds were huge, but we didn’t bother moving around too much on Tuesday and were happy to stay in front of the stands for most of the day. We walked down past the parade ring before the first race and I had an eye out to see if I could see you around the winners’ enclosure, but we were probably too early. As much as I enjoyed it, I don’t know exactly why but I missed watching it on telly at home and I’d say I’ll leave it a few years now before I think of another journey. A couple of days at Aintree could be my next target
I’ll take a look at the fixture list Jac, as I’ve got a few weeks off in August. I could drop Mucker off in Reading with family and go from there.
I cant handle the crowds these days Tommy, so I just bunk by the paddock at Cheltenham.
Don’t think I’ll be going again there either for a few years although I said that last time.Blackbeard to conquer the World
would have loved to be there,but am travelling up (from essex) for the three day Dante meeting(love the place).I will keep an eye out for other forum get togethers.
I am at a member at Newbury – my local track – and never miss Lockinge Day.
