For a serious relationship, my number one is trust.

Integrity for me .. I couldn’t be with a scum-bag, or someone who couldn’t behave in a proper manner.

I ticked another – sharing similar interests.
Don’t think I could go through life with somebody who did not like sport and racing/horses in particular.<br>July 28, 2005 at 11:42 #93134Sailing ShoesMember

I’d plump for the ability to spell, and then sexyiness ;)
In seriousness, I voted kindness ~ I’m feeling a little delicate.
Mesh ~ try finding one who’s available; it’s a start at least!July 28, 2005 at 11:58 #93141SalMember

Totally agree Adrian.  Friends’ relationships amaze me, where one won’t let the other watch football on the telly (unless its an international match), or he won’t watch the films she likes, or where one works in racing and the other thinks the sport is cruel.  How do they make it work?July 29, 2005 at 17:09 #93143
Rory – there is one who is free and single … still not interested!!! (Zoz hears plenty about this lol  )
Never mind eh.
Most of the options in the list are viable but loyalty, integrity and trust rate highly, not forgetting a sense of humour. As Adrian says, someone into racing is ideal, but on my own findings they can be few and far between.July 29, 2005 at 20:11 #93147
Ah yes Mesh I know the bloody feeling but thankfully seem to have found a better one.
There’s no word for it but when you finally realise what’s good for you there’s nothing that is a better indicator of compatibility than the fact that you feel like an electric shock just went through you when someone touches you (a good shock though!). And when you remember it…several thousand times the next day, however innocent it was.
It’s just unfathomable but brilliant when it works I reckon. You can’t really tick a box and say that defines anything.July 29, 2005 at 20:13 #93149
I can’t believe I just posted something so….completely daft. :cool:July 30, 2005 at 16:27 #93151roryParticipant

Not daft at all Zoz ~ just lacking a bit of cynicism. I’m sure you’ve learnt your lesson.July 30, 2005 at 16:50 #93153
I’ve seen dafter posts on this forum Zoz. Very nice sounding too…
I could add a bit of cynicism ;)August 2, 2005 at 20:51 #93157SkyMember
