I’m on Journey with me , interesting the team have travelled over and while the yard isn’t flying this looks a step down from what he’s run on previously
January 19, 2025 at 08:35 #1718376I’ll join you HDLG, don’t think I’ve ever bet him before but trip and ground probably about right.
January 19, 2025 at 09:39 #1718378I think this Indiana Dream is very interesting- Very inexperienced but has beaten a 143 rated chaser by 13 lengths on his only run over fences and could be anything. Worth a nibble at 8/1.
January 19, 2025 at 12:52 #1718391Hoping for a good perfomance by Djelo.
January 19, 2025 at 13:07 #1718394Well we’re well spread here, I think if Ahoy Senor was anywhere near his best

Just had a 14/1 winner at Fakenham, as well, in Mermaids Cave
January 19, 2025 at 15:14 #1718412Ta green. A little surprised you swerved him today and went somewhere else as i seem to remember you liked a few pennies on him for races. It was the right way round for him today.
wd winners.
January 19, 2025 at 16:27 #1718429Well done winners class told there.
The more I know the less I understand.
January 20, 2025 at 10:44 #1718478I wanted to be against Djelo in this race.
Good performance in in the Peterborough, probably put up a personal best there. However, it was nowhere near as good as a literal look at the form might suggest. Before Huntingdon it was 16 starts since Protektorat ran right-handed. Although he’s won that way around, the form is nothing like what he can do left handed (as we saw yesterday)… And Ginny’s Destiny may well end up being the same. Previous 7 chase starts all left handed… Well beaten on the only time he’s raced right handed both in National Hunt Flat races and over hurdles (latter also at Huntingdon). Of the other two runners, Nickle Back ran as though badly needing his first run of the season… And Minella Drama is probably best catching first time out and / or an Aintree specialist these days. Needs to race more prominently than he did there too. I think all the jockeys thought there was going to be more pace in that race. Every runner (with the possible exception of the winner likes to lead or at least race prominently… And yet Nickle Back was given a pretty soft lead. As a result Protektorat also ending up taking a strong hold in rear. Whereas yeterday there was no confirmed front runner in the race. All in all, Djelo the only runner to produce anything like his best at Huntingdon.
The same could be said about the Fleur De Lys. No other horse ran to form, but he did win by 27 lengths. So even if Djelo ran a stone below his best, I strongly suspect it was a personal best by the winner. Racing left handed and more prominently / making the running produced a far better performance. In my opinion Protektorat is excellent value @ 12/1 (Skybet all in run or not) for a repeat Ryanair.
