    More days then races

    Been to

    All days Cheltenham Festival

Tuesday is my favourite a bit like Christmas day with the anticipation. I’ll never forget Gold Cup day when I took my brother who is no longer with us but the memories of that day will remain and we would of won a fortune but Get Me Out Of Here got done on the line again.

    TAPK Birthday Nottingham

What better way to spend a day then going racing with a forum legend. The weather was glorious, company exceptional, cider sweet, course and viewing top class and we left with a nice profit, happy days.

    Taunton Races

A day out with the family, 5 minute drive from home, sneak into the jockeys room and play up Richard Johnson. Better class of horses have been running there recently as well. Darlan springs to mind and of course Hunt Ball.

    Leicester Family Fun Day

Top class viewing of course can virtually see them running around the whole course. Plenty to do for the young ones with rides, dodgems and a simulator horse with design your own silks. Peter Andre was crap but kept the Wife entertain so there was something for everyone. We found a cheap hotel 5 miles away with swimming facility’s and was 2 minutes walk from the city shopping centre. We had such a good weekend we are going again.

Glorious Goodwood – Sussex stakes day

Good points – Top class racing, superb paddock viewing. Toronado won. :D
Disappointed with – The views of the course, had heard so much about it but didn’t live up to expectations, perhaps one needs a higher viewpoint to appreciate the views. My Son was cold and we were prepared to buy him an expensive jacket but the guards would not let us pass into the enclosure where they were on sell.

    to do
    Royal Ascot
    Arc weekend
Breeders Cup(need to win lotto first)
    Grand National
    Newbury – Lockinge day

TAPK a forum legend  In his own mind maybe  Braggart with an over inflated ego and opinion of himself would be closer to the truth 8)Thought after a maiden winning the Cox Plate that the TAPK’S of the world would have again been poking fun at Aussie racing after a maiden won it! Though with Side Glance being unplaced in the race I think that shut him up  So let me be a moronic cherry picker that I see on here from time to time,so that means our maidens are better than your group 3 winners and group 1 placed? 3rd behind Frankel in the Queen Anne and beaten by a maiden in Australia, must have been beating trees that Frankel!

To say you backed the National winner at 66/1 is like telling your mates you’ve shag*ed 66 women when they’ve only had 40!

    Only 66?

Only weird to someone who fell off the sense of humour tree and missed every branch down.
By the way ‘Jolly P*sstake’ who was it that said a British horse would win the only race we give a monkeys about down under?? I’m too modest to say! We should re-name the ‘Melbourne cup’ the ‘P*ssmans Derby’ as its about the same as our own ‘Northumberland Plate’,

    Simenon

    will vouch for that!

Um look up the thread,it was me and I told you that Fiorente would be winning weeks and weeks ago  Northumberland plate and you still can’t win it  A much improved Australian trained horse won it sonny :wink:A horse who had his first start in the UK over 11f then wins a Group2 over a mile here  You are a fool, exactly as I say a moronic cherry picker who backs up my assessment every time talking of Simenon getting beaten in the Northumberland Plate, the same horse who was narrowly beaten in the last running of the Ascot Gold Cup  How smart is he now Nathan  Cut off your nose to spite your face 8)

Jolly this thread is about a bucket list of races to go to. I think TAPK is a forum legend you don’t, big deal. You haven’t put down which 5 races you would like to see or have you done them all?

JollyP,the term ‘Legend’ isn’t a word one uses lightly,’Legendary’ is a word only used in very rare cases, its a word one has to have earned, generally for being exceptional at something over a period of time. The word ‘Legend’certainly applies to AP McCoy,his achievements wont ever be repeated……Come to think of it neither will mine!
Nath, this one takes me back to weedling out those other numpties we’ve had to endure on here……Ch,ch,ch,Chiswickian!

Don’t think this thread is about the races we would like to see, but haven’t.Otherwise I, for one, will have to change mine. It’s about the races one would put on anyone’s bucket list.

In that case I suggest Jollyp put Nottingham on the bucket list, the race and bucket could both get done in one swoop.

Not a race as such, but Happy Valley on a crystal clear balmy winters night in Hong Kong is almost surreal.
