Zilzal, Cork are good bet -4 with P Power. I took England at 4-1 2/7 ago, just before Germany were knocked out; always cautious of a team that has a big win, esp after an early goal settles them down, but they look physically stronger than the others
August 5, 2023 at 22:59 #1658835Befair, the Cork Camogie semi final did look much stronger than the Waterford one and that’s why the market has them as odds-on favourites and they could possibly hockey their opponents. But I suppose a hopelessly one-sided match is probably in nobody’s interest so I would be cautious about the handicap bets. BTW the match is on RTE2 and I assume on RTE player and not on TG4 as previously mentioned.
Really looking forward to the US-Sweden game tomorrow morning as they’re probably evenly enough matched. In my interest bets I’ve gone for odds on nine corners + as I think there could be quite a few long range shots and hence corners and indeed maybe a deflected header from such a corner. Also got the Swedes 6/4 in containing the Americans to win the bookings contest.
Who on earth decided to start a match at 3 or 4 in the morning Western Europe and indeed S. Africa time
August 6, 2023 at 08:51 #1658869It depends on the time there zil.
I’ve gone Sweden to win on the two up rule. America thus far have been underwhelming and but for the thickness of paint on the posts they’d have been back home now. Portugal’s injury time effort nearly winning the match.
For all that they have only had one other shot on goal against them and defence is their strength. So extra time looks entirely feasible but they could well be blown away beforehand by the swedes.
Many of the big sides have been lost in shobiz and have departed and America could be next.
The second part to this wager is to back the following. Wait until Sweden are a goal up. The four win in extra time win on penalties results. The price of all of which will increase on a goal being scored.August 6, 2023 at 17:02 #1658956Im not really into this, but for an interest, Australia.
Australia will breeze past Denmark, Morocco will give France a good fight, and rough them up a bit before the quarters against the hosts.
The bottom part of the draw, England to have a hard game against Nigeria then Columbia to beat Jamaica.
I saw the news that Ireland walked off in a friendly against Columbia pre tournament, well they should beat Jamaica. They wont hold back against England in the kicking department, and will cause a few knocks.
So if England make it through these two matches and Australia await in the semi final, there’s the home advantage against the pommes with a vocal home crowd..Top half of the draw looks like Japan or Spain to make the final, just wonder how much playing their matches in NZ rather than Aus will effect them before the final.
Good luck all, I like the 12s Australia.

Firstly
The book has wildly underestimated the Africans.
14/1 is an insult.
The top side on their continent and a regular in these contests.
First half corners 5+ @ evens
Nigeria 1+ goals @ 13/8
Russo 1+ shot on target + James 2+ shots on target @ 4/1.
An unexpectedly tight match and I’m expecting a penalty at some stage and later on a red card or two.August 7, 2023 at 10:17 #1659027“That James girl should play mens football”

August 7, 2023 at 11:09 #1659038Dire commentary how many times are they going to say the same narrative.
Nigeria have never…..
England are European champions….
Rinse repeat.August 7, 2023 at 11:27 #1659040Lesson from match respect your opponents and don’t underestimate.
Looked like a penalty free kick on edge of box at least.Levelling up to disallow Nigeria’s? Didn’t see that incident.
Didn’t back the sending off unfortunately.
I’ve scraped through on either team to win on penalties at 3/1 and first half corners.August 7, 2023 at 11:33 #1659041Aussie Denmark
Just kicked off an odd bet for you
Each keeper to make 2+ first half saves @ 21/10
Match-Stat Specials
Australia Women 0 v 0 Denmark Women
Small stakes but the Aussie keeper has stopped one already after 1 minute so looks a possibility to me…..August 10, 2023 at 20:35 #1659325Shop odds on the eve of the Quarter Final Matches
England 5/2
Spain 7/2Japan 5/1
France 5/1Australia 8/1
Sweden 11/1
Netherlands 12/1Columbia 28/1
We can say its probably between the top 5!
Spain v Netherlands
Well I’m breaking one of my new season resolutions already – trust your first thoughts! Was going to go for a clever 2nd Half Most Goals bet on the basis that the Netherlands would disrupt and hold out for the first half and possibly have a chance of stealing the game in the 2nd half. But after watching the teams’ match highlights I have concluded the natural football talent of the Spanish midfield and attack should win out. I reckon the Spanish defence isn’t great but the Dutch backs are worse, especially on their right flank where they seem to be vulnerable. So my interest bets are
1st half BTTS 15/4 1pt (bit of value there)
Spain Win & BTTS 2pts 3/1
I’m giving the Japan-Sweden game a miss betting-wise but expect to see Sweden give a better account of themselves than they did against USA where they appeared to have a bit of a mental block.
Hope to see at the least the first half of the night game and the second half the morning game!
BTW the other main resolution after a win take a breather, you’re not invincible.
August 11, 2023 at 09:20 #1659365Sweden 1 Japan 0
Is the current score approaching half time.
Sweden to Commit 13+ Fouls (6 so far) @ 6/4I’m sure Sweden will leave little in the locker room this next half and will try and progress at all costs. So to me seven transgressions over the next fifty or so minutes looks very likely, unless they become unambitious angels.
August 11, 2023 at 23:39 #1659452Extrordinary the lack of interest in the WWC as we reach the quarter finals. I doubt it will be held in the smallest continent anytime soon again.
100/30 X Sport Ladies Treble Chance (1pt) with PP
Australia / Draw Double Chance v France 8/13 (Sat 8am)
France hard to judge as most of their matches have been against poor opposition. They’ve scored several quality goals but several flukes as well. If Spain are a bit like Arsenal France would be more prosaic say Chelsea! I think there’s a chance the battle-hardened and character-forming Aussies may even win the Corner match (6/5)England Win v Columbia 4/9 (Sat 11.30am)
England A team must boss the firt half against inferior oppositon, take a two goal advantage and rest key players in the second half. Simple!Dublin v Kerry GAA Ladies All Ireland Championship Final Over 31.5 points (like over 2.5 goals) Sunday 4pm
After watching quarter finals I expected this young athletic Dublin team to run rings around any opposition and backed them. But on seeing the semi-final v Cork I’m not so sure how they will cope with Kerry’s attacking physicality and indeed penetrate their defence for goals. So I secured my stake and am well in profit. I prefer a play on this binary bet now and am gambling on the attackers of both teams winning out with goals in the net ( = 3 points) and over the crossbar (1pt) against the respective defenders. Both sides can score points easily from distance but I will be needing several goals. It should be clear within ten minutes whether athleticism or physicality is winning out (TG4 (Irish)
As an alternative to the GAA football bet I’m also going to dip my toes in the the new Premier League season. I’m taking a chance on the Glaziers dazzling the Blades home support with two goals @ 7/5. This makes a superior 9/2+ treble
August 12, 2023 at 02:31 #1659472Dublin/Down double is a decent bet, as is Dublin (-2) I was impressed by Dublin in the semi-final. My daughter won an intermediate All-Ireland with Down a few yrs ago, so I know the game pretty well
August 12, 2023 at 12:24 #1659534Come on the girls!
Was looking like we had a Ronaldinho 2.0 situation going for a moment there but thankfully we just managed to get one back before half time.
August 14, 2023 at 21:20 #1659787Outright Winner Betting
Spain 9/5 – 1.80
England 15/8
Australia 4/1
Sweden 5/1I see both sets of semi finalists as fairly evenly matched. Spanish ball and passing skills are as impressive as Swedish physicality organisation and discipline. It would however be a shame not to see such brilliant exponents of the womens game as the Spanish at the final. I can only trust their stamina for 45mins and if they can create an early two goal lead they may just keep the Swedes at bay. (The RP tipster recommends a 2pt Swedish win)
Spain Win HT @ 19/10 1pt
It’s hard to split the Aussies and the English too but all the value lies with the Aussies. The hosts play a relentless physical game in their home cauldron and I’ve doubts that the Lionesses can match them in this department. The latter don’t appear to me to have the outstanding skill levels required to counter this challenge. That said an early English goal would however really test the Aussie mentality and they may just crumble in such a scenario. England will probably either win the World Cup or finish fourth!
Australia Win @ 12/5 (2.40) 1pt
Australia -1 @ 15/2 1/2pt
August 16, 2023 at 07:48 #1659842Whichever side tries to play the long game and tough out the tie for penalties, is the likely loser here.
An early goal is the key here.
England’s experience in consecutive semi finals will be a great help.
Aussie fear of losing is also key, they have every thing in their favour, host nation, home advantage, partisan crowd, the referee ( match officials often have an “unconscious” bias towards the hosts/favourite). In Sydney, and across Australia the home side are simply expected to win. Beating Poms is deeply ingrained into the Aussie Psyche. These factors give England a psychological advantage IF they are able to exploit it
England to win on the two up rule.
England will get no favours and if they adopt a mentality of letting the ball do the talking they can get through in normal time. The Great Britain Rugby league team, The British lions and the England Rugby union teams have pulled off some great results in Australia in the last twenty years through that mentality. As we have seen at Old Trafford, match officials are under intense pressure from “outside influences” to make decisions which are not consistent with the rules.
August 16, 2023 at 08:53 #1659845Without taking a strong line on the outcome (as 5/4 is paltry odds for the two up scenario)
I’ve gone down the four questions route.
Will England take five corners? Yes
Will Australia take four corners? Yes
thirty booking points? Yes
A goal in both halves YES AND NO.
The fourth question simply add it yes and no to the first three.
The odds are 15/2 and 11/1 with my bookie
I’m sure you can get better shopping around
Simply level up your stakes for an equal return and sit back and collect. - AuthorPosts
