I thought there might have been a thread for this but apparently not.
Anyway, I’ve had a couple of bets on Japan, who seem to be pretty
decent. Both on Betfair exchangeJapan to beat Spain 4.8

July 31, 2023 at 07:50 #1657287It’s less than a year since I was extolling the virtues of women’s football and it seems they have morphed into men!
Play acting, time wasting, cynical fouls.
And that’s just the commentators!
It’s a bit like the World Cup in both rugby’s. Not a lot of cop until the knock out stages.
Extra time a given in three of the four quarter finals.
Awarded penalties in open play in most matches where there is a quality gap.July 31, 2023 at 10:42 #16573074-0

July 31, 2023 at 10:45 #1657309I don’t follow the woman’s game
Someone gave me a free bet builder so I did catch the game against Haiti and thought England were lethargicGaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
July 31, 2023 at 10:58 #1657312Thanks Nathan, to be honest I dont really follow the woman’s
football either, just a betting oppertunity. I saw before the
game that Japan had won both their games with a goal difference
of 7-0. They are fit as fleas, can run all day and have strikers
who know where the net is.Spain as low as 100/30 whilst Japan can still be got at 13.0 on
the exchange or 11/1 with Skybet. After them giving Spain a 4 goal
drubbing, I don’t get it
July 31, 2023 at 22:53 #1657456From dipping in and out of matches Right now USA 11/4 and Germany 7/1 against the field. Could it possibly be a USA v Germany final?
9/1 on Skybet for that Final outcome currently
August 1, 2023 at 12:54 #1657594I do like it that the refs have to explain the VAR decisions

August 4, 2023 at 10:12 #1658306The eight matches of the last sixteen and the four matches of the last eight.
I’m expecting an increasing strike rate of games going to extra time and or penalties, reaching 50% by the quarter finals.August 4, 2023 at 17:23 #16584189/5 Womens Weekend Odds on Treble Chance for what its worth!
Spain 3/10 Win v Switzerland SAT 6.AM
Cork Hurlers ( All Ireland Camogie Final – ka-mogue-ee) 1/4 v Waterford – Sunday 5.00 (RTE2/RTE PLAYER) (PP or Boyles 3/10 currently)
Australia 8/11 Win v Denmark Mon 11.30
(Those who don’t like novelty sports might like to switch Netherlands Win v Sth Africa for Cork!)
Not very impressed by the Swiss, not much movement at all about them and probably one of the luckier teams to make it the last sixteen
Not impressed by the Australians initially but they are very united and seem to be on a roll, the home support must be worth a goal start
“Only have to turn up” 1/10 look about Cork Camogie girls. From 1/3 to 1/4 on Paddy. (3/10 with Boyles at moment) Seems they took down a 4 point even money handicap bet! What could go wrong in a weak minor Amateur sport? The ref’s granny might be from the “Day-sha” (Waterford), some extraordinary climatological event might screw things up or maybe mega complacency sets in as arguably the strongest county team might take pity on one of the weakest county teams
August 4, 2023 at 19:40 #1658447My German fancies deserved to go out v South Korea after taking the mickey in their first two attempts at goal!
FYI Current High Street prices for World Cup Winner on ever of Last 16 matches
England 3/1 – far too short as a result as of stroll around Chinese “shadows” in last match having it all their own way – much to prove still against tougher opposition
Spain 4/1
USA 9/2 – may well gel better against Swedes than previous disappointing outing v Portugal. Would have liked a bookings market in this game!
Japan 8/1
France 7/1
Netherlands 10/1 – shortening – good showing against US in Group match
Australia 11/1 – emerging dark horse if they weren’t the hosts!
Sweden 16/1 – tough outfit, possibly just lacking a little flare and finesse against best opposition
Columbia 25/1
Norway 66/1
Denmark 80/1
100/1 Bar
So where’s the value?
August 5, 2023 at 10:36 #1658551Just approaching 80 mins and Norway have not had a shot since the 20th minute.
Key sub just been made and Norway should manage a solitary shot in the next 20 minutes given the amount of added time there will be…..Norway vs Japan

Japan Women 2 v 1 Norway WomenAugust 5, 2023 at 10:43 #1658560Japan keeper held a shot from Norway before the 85 th minute which was a winner for me and covers my bet but the Asian nation have scored again to close out the match. I still think Norway can get one more shot on target in the time remaining.

In WSL at the Emirates stadium. 5 games with it
