I met Trig about thirty years ago when I was frequently in Kentish Town, where he lived at the time in London. It was a chance meeting and he chatted to me about his daughter amongst other things and keeping his dead pan face unmoved the whole time we were talking. Our conversation continued on a little while, but eventually ran out of steam, and it would be difficult to say which of us won the lugubriousness stakes – maybe me. Like Rodney or Dave he was quite tall. I saw Rodney walking along High Street Kensington much more recently possibly seven years ago, sort of around the time of Triggers death. He never left a will much to the treasury’s benefit, which was strange because I know he did care about money.

I saw Nicholas Lyndhurst walking through Chichester with what was presumably his girlfriend in the 1980s.

He looked as sheepish and as awkward as the character he played in Only Fools And Horses.

I didn’t pay much attention, though, I was never that interested in the culture of celebrity.

Plus I was on my way to Micawbers for supper after racing at Goodwood – and I was ravenous!

It’s “bring a continental cheese omelette” day at confession this Sunday – Father Chezza looks forward to hearing Gladder’s confession (and sampling said omelette).

Democracy is the equivalent of a grandad now, typical No Nay Never
    he peaked at birth
had his first tattoo in nursery
had a full beard in primary school
was working 70 hours a week at secondary school
have they not retired him yet
All that said I will be cheering him on for you Gladders

Whilst we are here and I realise that Music Society has become a bit of a CULT hero amongst those fond of a meme
I must ask what the rules are of having a cliff horse.?
Because I still apply a need of a price to circumstances

My definition of a cliff horse is something you have backed twice and it has been beaten but you go back for a third go. And a fourth…

So have I! But if you are backing a horse for something like the fifth time in a row and it gets beaten but you still go back for more, it has to be a cliff horse!
