I trust you are being ironic
……….but I suspect you’re not and as usual I am not in the know and what happened with Ballinger Ridge was not in the least bit suspicious or questionable….
…….silly me.As for racing being totally corrupt…..clearly not…….just a little bit corrupt.
There is a lot on here generally about Racing’s public image….do we really to care about it or take responsibility for it……..it is what it is and people either ‘get’ racing or they don’t….believing it to be corrupt or not doesn’t make much difference IMO outsiders don’t care that much and nothing racing can do will make them care……..its money, its gambling, its animals and humans with everything that goes with that combination.
June 24, 2011 at 14:00 #362320his experience is far greater than any jockey. when you put your money on him riding a short priced fav e.g. khor speed yest, you have no doubts about the ride you will get, but if you have spencer or someone on, you always have the doubt that he will cock up.
Don’t remind me!
June 24, 2011 at 15:21 #362331At his best on Brick Dust yesterday. When some might have been expecting another educational run just like Kieren to get the last ounce out of the horse.
June 24, 2011 at 15:39 #362335Do I detect a hint of irony there stilvi ?
June 24, 2011 at 17:25 #362348Having watched Rhyan on Zoffany,Tom on Frankel and Frankie on Rewilding I have concluded that Frankie,Johanny and Kieren are the only jockeys with the experience and patience to ride Group One horses consistently well this side of the English Channel.
June 24, 2011 at 17:43 #362351I’ve heard it all now. R.L. Moore not capable of riding consistently well in Group 1 races.
I wonder why Mr Stoute has him as a retained stable jockey, and when he isn’t retained, the Coolmore boys are using him generally (although not exclusively) as their first choice in Group races.
They must be intrigued by his inconsistently. I think not.June 24, 2011 at 17:53 #362353The King turning up late for duty again tonight and missing rides.
Traffic? Neck crick recurrence? Conductor fails to accept bus pass?
YOU decide.
June 24, 2011 at 18:12 #362355He does seem to fail to turn up on time more regularly than the other top jocks.
It smacks of a lack of preparation and professionalism to me. If I was one of the connections who was let down, then he wouldn’t get the leg up againJune 24, 2011 at 18:47 #362357Hu Coggy, Moore misjudged See You Then and Zoffany(if Queally was up you would agree with me that both rides were misjudged). Ballydoyle have cut off their nose to spite their face. The "best jockey available" says it all. Murtagh and Frankie are no longer available don’t you agree? So Fallon and the others become the pool. Both Stouty and Cecil have the same pool to draw from. Incidentally interesting that Ballydoyle never use Queally! I express my own opinion when I say I would rather have Fallon aboard than anyone else.Incidentally Aidan admitted that he was difficult to work with after Spencer won the G.C.at Ascot.Seems more like impossible when you see Roche,Spencer, Kinane,Murtagh,(the last two world class jockeys with experience of working with world class trainers) walking.
June 24, 2011 at 19:36 #362361I certainly agree with you andyod about Ballydoyle cutting off their noses. They should never have let Murtagh go, and now they are in a really difficult position
June 24, 2011 at 22:26 #362380We might never know why Johanny walked or why they did not stop him.Maybe some day the story will emerge.Looks like Oscar Wild’s famous expression about the awful curtains in his apartment; "One of us has got to go!" So Johnny went.Spencer said he went because he wanted to be able to sleep at night! Whatever.

Like all geniuses in sport, they are all mentally messed up somehow. Fallon is the equivalent of Ronnie O’ Sullivan.
June 24, 2011 at 23:53 #362392Ronnie O’Sullivan?
Surely our K is more of a Hurricane? ‘Fun to watch from the outside but sh**e to be involved with’
June 24, 2011 at 23:56 #362393You are comparing apples with pears
Try comparing him with Piggott and Eddery
They had failings , but get real, not in the same leagueJune 25, 2011 at 11:32 #362446A possible explanation for his transport difficulties is that he cannot afford a full time driver:-

Interesting self appraisal that he is "no longer famous"
July 2, 2011 at 14:08 #363215As normal service has been resumed with Fallon i.e. 1 winner in his last 20 rides I think the Ballydoyle guys have made the correct decision in giving Heffernan the chance.
What on earth was Fallon doing on Start Right in the second at Sandown. The horse would have struggled to catch the winner even with a couple of turbos fitted.
Terrible ride, started his run much too late.
Not pocket talking, just absolute incompetenceJuly 2, 2011 at 16:59 #363290Yes, a lovely ride on Start Right if you backed him to finish second. Appeared to give the impression it was very difficult to get the horse running in a straight line. Again failed to get Dubai Queen to settle and an absolute peach on Dimension.
