What is the security like at Lingfield when a jockey can be punched (allegedly) when unsaddling a horse.
Apparently Fallon was ‘punched’ (allegedly) when unsaddling Elna Bright after the second race at Lingfield today.
March 20, 2010 at 16:59 #284325I shouldn’t laugh but its about time he was, the crook.
March 20, 2010 at 17:04 #284327I’m not sure what you can expect security to do. Jockeys will always have to mill through the crowd to get from the paddock to the weighing room.
March 20, 2010 at 17:08 #284328Yeah I could quite easily give Fallon a wedgie at Newbury, Windsor or Sandown.

Remind us what crimes he has been convicted of?
March 20, 2010 at 17:26 #284331Apparently the person responsible was a part-owner of the favourite who was badly hampered when Fallon’s mount went lame.
March 20, 2010 at 17:46 #284339Stuart Websters revenge?
March 20, 2010 at 17:56 #284341"He came up behind me when I was unsaddling but I’m all right – he hits like a girl! I don’t know what it was about."
March 20, 2010 at 17:56 #284342Must have lost a fortune on his horse.
Can’t see any other reason for such a wild reaction
March 20, 2010 at 18:25 #284349Whatever opinions people have of Fallon, this Reynolds should be kicked out of the sport no questions asked.

I dont suppose this bloke passed the fit and proper persons act then?

If true, you are exactly right tb. Warn him off.
I have had my suspicions in the past over Fallon, but he’s been convicted of no crime. This "crook" stuff is totally wrong. Hope those on here never get accused of anything. Absolutely crazy comments.
Value Is EverythingMarch 20, 2010 at 19:44 #284365I don’t we should, in any way, hint that we condone such behaviour.

March 20, 2010 at 20:19 #284382I can’t condone what happened to Kieren, but had to chuckle when I read Gareth’s inital post.
I had no idea about what transpired (obvious Kieren wasn’t badly hurt), but I thought to myself ‘I bet the guy hit him from behind’ and I was right.
I’d put good money on Kieren flooring the bloke if he tried it on face to face.
"…he hits like a girl". Well said, Kieren.
March 20, 2010 at 22:29 #284450Whatever next attacking a jockey. I hope they take Acton to sort this crime out. Well done to Kieren for not retaliating with his fists. The hacks would have had a field day. I read in the RP the owner was escorted of the course and the incident reported to the BHA.

With mug shots. Very amusing comments from those involved though, although you could argue is no laughing matter.
Hope the horse that pulled up injured is going to be OK.
March 21, 2010 at 10:45 #284588Don’t understand why he was just escorted from the course. Sounds like assault to me – witnesses – why not arrested?
This is the sort of thing that encourages violence amongst the drunken kids watching. Football has had to clamp down hard on ths sort of thing, racing needs to make sure it never develops.
