Just pointed out Jamie Goldstein, clearly not making any effort on Sheens West’s Moonwolf in the Fontwell opener.

Shocking, talk of the press room aswell.

I look forward to the hard-hitting no-nonsence reports tomorrow then.

Stewards happy with it after reviewing.

    Disgraceful.

I doubt the trainer saw the race :)

They’re going to interview Jamie Goldstein live on atr at 5:40

That will be interesting – let’s hope he puts a little more effort in to the interview than he did the ride.

I backed the winner so not complaining having lost money but that was definitely a non-trier in my opinion.

Is there a winner you haven’t backed?

Yeah far too many, I’m a favourite backer.

I backed the horse and I’m glad I’m not the only one who was dismayed by the ride.

Can someone relay what was said on ATR? Cheers.

He said something along the lines of being a horse you have to nurse/ease into the race, load of cobblers.

    Cheers, Matthew.

You have to factor in the distance drop, which saved me from going loop the loop, but even so…you’d struggle to defend the ride under best possible placing rules and I’ll be very careful about backing a horse from that yard again.

    He’s either a very poor jockey or a non-trier.

Surely a horse that has already won over a testing 2m 4f should be ridden more prominently when dropped in trip? Indeed, Moonwolf was in front two-out on his last outing at Fontwell and stayed on well enough to score by three quarters of a length; no nursing required.

Jamie Goldstein did not make sufficient effort – let’s be honest, he made no effort – to make the horse competitive and therefore has to be considered a non-trier; the fact that the stewards again swallowed whatever nonsense they were fed is frightening.

I doubt the stewards saw it! I bet Jamie Goldstein was praying the front 2 didn"t fall at the 2nd last again, gifting him the race once more! The stewards should have at least said "Jamie a bit more effort son Ffs"!
