my mistake it should be 1750. I have corrected it, and finalised the lists.
I think the ground in the straight at Ascot is not too bad.
Now going to cheat and have a look at your short lists before posting my selections. And what Formath has got to say for himself…
September 29, 2007 at 12:04 #117108Sorry I have had a bit of a mix up on one of the races. Nevermind.

carlisleSeptember 29, 2007 at 18:38 #117152Like i said I hate ascot but i had a few winners from Market Rasen / Haydock so all in all up on the day but not much to shout about.
unfortunate with Commando Scott again I think the distance was a little on the short side for him this week.
Role on next week!
Who did you have the exacta with?
September 29, 2007 at 20:03 #117164my gdc figure
.. what’s that carlisle ?
September 30, 2007 at 06:04 #117195Hi 1FurOut
"It’s official" you are a bottler! Only joking it was a wise move, although there wasn’t any shock results at Ascot.
My exacta was Ronaldsay to beat Sunisa it paid £25.
I still dropped £185 on the day though, it could have been a lot worse.

"What is gdc?"
I am going to start a separate thread, your views are always appreciated mate. If I could put this to bed I could sleep easy.

carlisleOctober 3, 2007 at 12:31 #117754Any thoughts on this weekends card? Im off out on the lash on friday so selection process will be blurred
October 4, 2007 at 06:34 #117878Hi 1FurOut
my current situation is that I have lost confidence in the accuracy of my gcd, so that needs taking apart, fixing and putting back together.
I am also trying to gain some cohorts, allies/team players on the Raceform Forum.
It seems a complete waste that talents and efforts cannot be channelled powerfully. My big ideas are weighing me down somewhat, you see.As for this weekend….. I will have a look and report back.
Strangely I haven’t touched a drop for weeks, so have one for me mate.

carlisleOctober 6, 2007 at 09:17 #118192sorry mate
I have caught a crab.
October 7, 2007 at 15:31 #118350No worries I had a prety dire weekend really culminating in Authorised getting beat.
Given that there are only a few decent flat races left this year do you use the same method for NH racing?
I’d be interested in your thoughts surrounding horses that PU, UR, BD etc and how you rate them in the form
October 8, 2007 at 05:02 #118412Hi 1FurOut
sorry to say that my Jumps speed rating/form is WWWaaaaaaayyyy out of date. I need to do some serious catching up.
The winter all weather racing can sometimes be good though. The going and the track are virtually the same, so therefore it’s easier to find winners.
With regard to the PU,BD,F problem…. we may need to take some advice on this one. (I don’t use this column in my ss)
Safest thing would be to issue a 10pt penalty. PREHAPS!
But what do you do if a horse has only ran once or never before?
Oh what a lovely start to the week, it can only get better.
