Ken. I’m pleased to help you out.

LM. I do indeed speak from experience. Been living in my current gaff in the less expensive part of the Hill for 25 years and in a scummier bit of Harrow for a few years before.

I’d recommend the Hill as a place to live. Some decent boozers and restaurants in a close to zero crime area. Generally civilised folk, pleasing buildings and goodish communications by car and rail. And most of it is in a rather strict conservation zone that acts to deter some of the trashier types.

Not handy for any decent racetracks tho’. Sandown and Ascot about an hour away by car. Kempton somewhat less but I’m a Flat person with no interest in AW so that is no use to me. Newbury and Newmarket are closer to two hours. And, a point I should have made in my earlier post, much of the area’s decline is attributable to the closure of Northolt Park racetrack some 60 years ago.

Lollysmate: in your hometown address you state: "Arra but if you’re posh it’s called Harrow."
I was always given to understand that if you’re posh you don’t pronounce the letter H. So that it’s:- ‘otels,’orses and ‘orticulture’ etc.
So, given that you live in ‘arra I take it you’re a posh bird pretending to be summit else?

    Just for the record.

Two knifed to death (Somalian) at my nearest petrol station and two stabbed 3 miles away (Romainian) and two shot and killed 4 miles (Black) away this week alone.

    Was Enoch was right?

On that basis, Lollysmate, if I was of ethnic origin and lived five or six miles away I’d stay indoors next week.

Petrol station murder was one death only, other victim reported as surviving.

And Enoch was not right. But that does not invalidate the view that Harrow would be a better place if at least half of its Somali population was deported tomorrow. I am yet to hear of any positives that they bring to the area and many are illegals who HMG refuses to deport. As it stands at the moment, any Somali who arrives the UK will not be deported. Might explain why Harrow and, I’m sure, some other places, is swarming with them.

If they can prove that their lives are in danger if sent back to Somalia they’re more than entitled to stay. If HM don’t bother asking the question then would you go back to Somalia whne jobs, housing etc. is plentiful in the UK?

    Funny that Ted..

The site of our most recent murder is called Wealdstone, recently renamed Wealdstan.

    Its a Facking Sheithole.

    Tell me something.

I had no sence of sadness what so ever when I found out what happened (And I found out the whole story  ) and although it should have been a tragic story, I was more interested in comparing the amount of tributes that were left there as to what were lef at my daughters mates Danny.

Just for the record It must have been 12-1.

    Funny that!

I don’t find Harrow any worse than the average for the outer London boroughs. The area near the hill is decent, though, criminals can and do operate anywhere around London.
What really fkd solid working-class "Irish" Harrow was the closure of Kodak; killed off in the name of technological progress, when those cell-phone cameras took over.
Actually, there are plenty of really rich "immigrants" in the borough, especially in among the Jewish and Indian communities, but, like most places in Britain, the place and the quality of life is on the decline.

Mr McNulty. Employment minister and Harrow East mp.

No wonder every one of your supporters are claiming benefit!

Is he right or wrong to have taken £300 P.W. for having a second home further away from Westminster than his family home?

    ?

The bloke is a complete cnut.

I’ve heard him a number of times over the last few months on Radio Four & Five, in his position as Employment Minister, sympathising with and attempting to reassure people who have lost their jobs and possibly at sometime in the future their homes, he is doing everything in his power to help.

And, all the time the greedy ******* is taking the piss and filling his boots.

The problem is – they are all ******* at it – with our money.

.. wasn’t the second home his parents house?

Yet another MP caught fiddling his expenses, they will need to amend this freedom of information act.

£300 per week for a "second home".
His parents live in a very average 3 bed semi in a street filled wih speed ramps introduced by their son. His Dad has cancer and his mum is a lovely old biddy.
He hasn’t stayed there for a night, ever!!!

But in his favor. If I was him I would do the same.
Legally he has done nothing wrong. Morally he is a twat.
