Alex’s favourites are Albania and Norway and will be voting them and we will also be voting for Australia. I think Australia or Italy will win but Alex thinks that Netherlands will lift the trophy. Either Germany or Denmark will finish last in Alex’s opinion.

Oh, I had heard the French song; I’ve had the semis playing on I player for a couple of days but have just half watched/listened to it. For some reason I didn’t think it was a 2019 entry; really like it. 33/1 now, though. Some people actually make serious money on Eurovision but you have to start listening to the songs early on.

But a competition that bans political views and yet you couldn’t have a more political competition. Cyprus votes for Greece, Greece votes for Cyprus etc etc… Europe hates Brexit, therefore Europe hates Britain, therefore guess who finishes last? LOL
Value Is EverythingWe never got any votes prior to Brexit anyway….at least one of the best songs won [it was a grower]. There were boos at the partisan [?] votes; something I’ve never heard before. Still think Norway should have won.

Post Brexit I think the UK, or possibly just England, should show our former Eurochums the two fingers and instigate The Commonwealthvision Song Contest, with a wildcard for our new trading partners the Faeroe Islands

Can’t help but feel there’s something a bit crooked about the panel votes which are so different to the public one. We really should go through the elimination stages; if we did we wouldn’t have to suffer this ritual humiliation each year.

If we hadn’t got the message by now, I think it’s crystal after last night that the message
from our European cousins is f*%k right off. Okay, it’s funny in a way, in that it’s almost
a standing joke that we’re going to crash and burn regardless if it were Adele turning up,
and I must admit when we got 3 points awarded in the public vote I actually burst out laughing.
However I think it’s becoming a year on year ritual humiliation and we should pull the plug. If
we did, at least we wouldn’t have to suffer it in on the telly, and maybe Drone could get a
decent night’s sleep
I’m quite proud of the fact that we Brits do seem to vote for what we think are the best songs. And it is a relief that a very good song won. I just don’t think we take it as seriously as the other countries. I’d love to know what would happen with the voting if we secretly did a secret swap with another country. And our song was Swedish written, I believe. Saw a programme a while back about how many popular songs are written by a group of Swedes; really surprised me.
