    Interesting article in The Times today re. the increasing likelihood of a breakaway European Super League…

    I hope it doesn’t come about, but if it does, I’d be seriously tempted to cancel my Sky subscription. I’m all for running teams as a business and maxing their earnings potential. maybe by perhaps even playing 1 or 2 Premiership League games overseas per season, but would this be a step too far? (It might though turn plenty of fans off the big clubs and benefit the gates of smaller clubs: who knows?)

    It sounds achingly dull. Real Madrid v Man.Utd. v Barcelona v Bayern again and again and again and zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
