    Afternoon all,

Just wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction of a website which would give me a description of courses in Europe, particularly France, Germany and Italy. Just general stuff like is it right or left handed, stiff/tight/galloping, etc.

    Thanks!

    hi Librettist

i’d suggest here for the relevant country link:

    http://www.horseracingintfed.com/linksD … ?section=2

then look for words like hippodrome (FR), rennbahnen D) and ippodromi (I) and choose your course name.

if the course has a website, there’ll usually be a link to it.

    best regards

    hi Tony

interesting that your German site has run a piece – complete with photo of APOB –  on "the obvious lack of interest of the Irish in the Dubai Carnival" !

    Hi Wit

Looks a bit political to say the least (Coolmore and the Maktoums!!)

German racing  takes place mainly at the weekends thus UK/French racing fills in the gap.

Unfortunately for the locals German racing is going downhill pretty fast, despite a tote take out of over 25% theirs simply no pool,German trainers send their horses to France for the higher prize money , in fact they are even buying French stock in order to benefit from the Premium, take a look at Cagnes tommorrow and you will see what i mean.
