Walk Of Stars beat. Looks an awkward ride.
May 7, 2022 at 14:49 #1597313Still green and babyish. The race was there for the taking.
May 7, 2022 at 14:58 #1597317Yep as he was last time he looks a bit of a thinker
Probably has much more ability than he’s showing
Doubt united nations wins but 50s don’t look too bad now
May 7, 2022 at 21:44 #1597356I would say there are far worse 50/1 chances – it’s possible to rate United Nations 108-110 on that and if Luxembourg doesn’t run that puts him right in the mix on the trials so far.

He also runs the well bred Gullivers Travels (full brother to Magic Wand) in the same race.
May 7, 2022 at 22:30 #1597361And of course there is the Derby Trial on the card too.

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"May 8, 2022 at 00:36 #1597372This looks like the kind of Derby where you back a few outsiders then just sit back and watch
Obrein likely wins but God knows which of his trial winners comes out on top
May 8, 2022 at 05:17 #1597381Looks an open Derby with or without Luxembourg.
May 8, 2022 at 08:51 #1597388The racing media tend not to like an open Derby – it doesn’t suit their eternal quest for the next obvious public “superstar” narrative – but it’s an intriguing situation.
I expect a 3yo colt to be able to run to an OR of 120+ to win The Derby and right now I’ve got a few progressive ones on 109-110 with the Dante to come.
It’s not unknown for the Irish 2,000 Guineas to provide a clue either.
And those with long memories will remembers Troy winning the Predominate Stakes at Goodwood in 1979.
History tells me one of these colts is likely to find that 7lb-10lb progressive improvement to go and win at Epsom.
The question is: which one??!!

May 8, 2022 at 16:35 #1597413Luxembourg confirmed a non runner.
May 8, 2022 at 16:57 #1597415El bodagons form is starting to stack up
May 8, 2022 at 17:06 #1597416Walk Of Stars not certain to go to Epsom according to connections so I’ve switched.
Stone Age 7-2
Changingoftheguard 10-1 ewMay 8, 2022 at 17:13 #1597420Not sure he beat much but Stone Age looked very professional and a straightforward, uncomplicated ride.
May 8, 2022 at 20:55 #1597436Stone Age looks to be the obvious pick based on what I’ve seen so far.
If Eydon stays 12f, I can see him running a big race too.
May 8, 2022 at 21:03 #1597437Stone age on all counts is a very worthy favourite. Ticks virtually every box and is improving with each race. Big horse so only issue for me is him handling the camber at Epsom. Eydon does look the best of the non coolmore horses.
May 8, 2022 at 21:21 #1597438Have to agree with FinalFurlong91 that El Bodegon’s form is now well advertised. In his last race the Group 1 Criterium De Cloud, Stone age who won easily today was second, Goldpsur who was a 1 length 3rd LTO in a Group 3 was third and Buckaroo who won a listed race on Monday was 4th. The only doubt is hes raced only on soft but at 25/1 thats a huge price all things considered. If he was trained by one of the heavyweights he would be alot shorter you would imagine. Currently has an entry in the Dante.
