Walk Of Stars beat. Looks an awkward ride.

Still green and babyish. The race was there for the taking.

Yep as he was last time he looks a bit of a thinker

Probably has much more ability than he’s showing

Doubt united nations wins but 50s don’t look too bad now

I would say there are far worse 50/1 chances – it’s possible to rate United Nations 108-110 on that and if Luxembourg doesn’t run that puts him right in the mix on the trials so far.

Waterville, talked up by O’Brien before he had even made his debut (when he only managed third place), runs in a maiden at Leopardstown tomorrow.

He also runs the well bred Gullivers Travels (full brother to Magic Wand) in the same race.

And of course there is the Derby Trial on the card too.

This looks like the kind of Derby where you back a few outsiders then just sit back and watch

Obrein likely wins but God knows which of his trial winners comes out on top

Looks an open Derby with or without Luxembourg.

The racing media tend not to like an open Derby – it doesn’t suit their eternal quest for the next obvious public “superstar” narrative – but it’s an intriguing situation.

I expect a 3yo colt to be able to run to an OR of 120+ to win The Derby and right now I’ve got a few progressive ones on 109-110 with the Dante to come.

It’s not unknown for the Irish 2,000 Guineas to provide a clue either.

And those with long memories will remembers Troy winning the Predominate Stakes at Goodwood in 1979.

History tells me one of these colts is likely to find that 7lb-10lb progressive improvement to go and win at Epsom.

    The question is: which one??!!

Champion the Wonder Horse gets beaten again. With that head carriage, I cannot see him ever winning a battle.

Walk Of Stars not certain to go to Epsom according to connections so I’ve switched.

Not sure he beat much but Stone Age looked very professional and a straightforward, uncomplicated ride.

Stone Age looks to be the obvious pick based on what I’ve seen so far.

If Eydon stays 12f, I can see him running a big race too.

Stone age on all counts is a very worthy favourite. Ticks virtually every box and is improving with each race. Big horse so only issue for me is him handling the camber at Epsom. Eydon does look the best of the non coolmore horses.

Have to agree with FinalFurlong91 that El Bodegon’s form is now well advertised. In his last race the Group 1 Criterium De Cloud, Stone age who won easily today was second, Goldpsur who was a 1 length 3rd LTO in a Group 3 was third and Buckaroo who won a listed race on Monday was 4th. The only doubt is hes raced only on soft but at 25/1 thats a huge price all things considered. If he was trained by one of the heavyweights he would be alot shorter you would imagine. Currently has an entry in the Dante.
