Not a big issue and I know I’m being a bit greedy but didn’t they have an enormous 10 year archive of video form before they gave up the videos? Just the last year or two available now. I’d quite like to watch Cyfor Malta’s greatest hits.

Are you still taking Raceform Interactive, BB? Any one of the four “user-rating” sets would do the job for you as well.

No I don’t subscribe to Raceform Interactive anymore, they still haven’t fixed the problem yet.

With all due respect Mike, you should have these backed up elsewhere. I recall you being a frequent user of clouds.

You cannot backup a Racing Post database to cloud, there is no method of doing it.

    Mike.

can you not copy and paste your data into a separate file?

This would be logistically impossible, there wouldn’t be enough time in the day.

The Racing Post customer services team have gone into hiding, no more email updates about the so called fix regarding my missing speed figure database, I tried to telephone them this morning, and guess what, they are not taking any calls.

I’ve no idea how these things work but there must be a backup of the data somewhere  When testing the new site they must have backed up the data on the old site and then been able to restore back to the original. Is the problem retrieving the data to make it fit into the new site?

This is s**t. Don’t these software providers/website designers test these things when updating? Don’t answer that because I know from experience.

Got up at 4.00am to work on my speed figures and found that I couldn’t login to my account, this was caused by a power outage at the Racing Post’s hosting partners.

The Racing Post’s customer service told me:

Please be assured that we are working with the third party to restore services to normal at the earliest possible opportunity, but be aware that, unfortunately, we cannot currently provide a time for resolution.

    Same sh*t, different bucket…

    Mike.
