If City Of Troy does not follow his pacemaker then it is not in his opponents best interests to make it a fast pace. COT’s rivals might ignore the pacemaker and make it a slowly run race – hoping the pacemaker comes back to them.
Value Is EverythingJuly 6, 2024 at 15:29 #1701026GM23 – Unsatisfactory blood test ruled WB out
July 6, 2024 at 15:31 #1701028That’s the connections reason LD.
Were you there when they did the blood test?Value Is EverythingJuly 6, 2024 at 15:33 #1701029Thanks LD, must’ve missed that.
July 6, 2024 at 15:34 #1701030The weakness in betfair odds told everyone White Birch would not run, even before the “blood test” was done.
Value Is EverythingJuly 6, 2024 at 15:35 #1701032I don’t see the pacemaker going off fast enough to where the others could elect to just let him go and being that COT can front run, Ryan could just as easily sit in behind whatever pace Hans goes off at and lead the rest and then kick on 2F out.
Usually keeping it simple is the best way to go as overthink things can get you in trouble…Ryan is on the best horse and he is the best stayer in the race so either lead or sit 2nd behind your lead horse.
July 6, 2024 at 15:39 #1701033Yikes – hanging badly right, could be a ground thing?
Should be interest to hear what spin Aidan comes up with here
July 6, 2024 at 15:39 #1701034That was hard work he should have beaten that bunch by a distance.
The more I know the less I understand.
July 6, 2024 at 15:39 #1701036He never looked like losing but he was not particularly impressive. Maybe the ground was too soft but he has made hard work of beating Group 3 or Listed horses.
July 6, 2024 at 15:41 #1701038Ground I’d say. Didn’t look like losing but it wasn’t very good either.
Whats the sceptism about White Birchs bloods about? I don’t get why they’d feel the need to lie.
July 6, 2024 at 15:42 #1701039Expected that, all aboard Breeders Cup, will be better at this distance on dirt.
July 6, 2024 at 15:42 #1701040Getting 10lb from the second as well but the last furlong he was going to hold on.
The more I know the less I understand.
July 6, 2024 at 15:43 #1701041He dug it out but than confirms he’s a good derby winner but isn’t a superstar , getting that weight he should have won more comfortably
Pick 3 on Saturday champion 2025/2026
July 6, 2024 at 15:43 #1701043Really unimpressive.
Think he’s lost a yard of pace this season and really needs the 1m4f.
You can blame the ground today but then again, Ghostwriter would’ve been an awful lot better on quicker ground also.
July 6, 2024 at 15:44 #170104410 furlong Group 1 win in the bag. Job done as far as Coolmore is concerned.
Just hope O’Brien doesn’t start thanking everyone and the stable cat..
July 6, 2024 at 15:45 #1701045Ryan taking the blame this time came up the wrong part of the track.
The more I know the less I understand.
July 6, 2024 at 15:46 #1701046Phew!
Not easy to judge by TV but didn’t look good in his coat in the paddock.
Was it me? Was Master O’Brien’s jockey not really going for everything?
As I said before the race, maybe the soft ground is too soft to show COT’s bestValue Is Everything - AuthorPosts
