Dublin Flyer – a superb and exciting jumper from years ago has been pts in his late 20’s. He was one of my all-time favourites and certainly lived up to his name – flying those Aintree fences! RIP old warrior – you will always be remembered as a fantastic steeplechaser.
Nice that he had such a long and happy retirement. Of course no one can forget his heroics round Cheltenham and Aintree. At that time ridden by Brendan Powell SENIOR !!! LOL

Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...Was only talking about him today. Remember when they measured how far he jumped, taking off from way outside the wings. What a horse and what memories. Where oh where does the time go? RIP [and what a superb and fitting name….]
RIP Flyer, your personality was as big as your jumping, A horse of substance, brave and bold you lit up so many cold winter racing days, Gone but never forgotten.
I too can remember his Topham run nothing else got a smell in only Indian Tonic could lie close,brought back memories of Crisp at the time. Sadly it was the last race for a favourite of mine also in Avonburn.
