It amazes me you are a member of a RACING forum. Just because you don’t like it, it doesn’t mean you have to make remarks such as this about the Dubai Carnival.
I don’t like jump racing much at all, but i consider myself mature enough to either not post or at least say something worth while.
And, if you consider your statement to be the truth, then you are very much mistaken.
How many group and listed winners from around the world will you be seeing at Kempton on Saturday, i would guess none, but, please correct me if i’m wrong.

January 19, 2007 at 10:54 #36157Stormont it was a cheap plug; I think you may be going OTT.
January 19, 2007 at 10:56 #36158Nice to see formal decree win – wonder just how far this horse can go?
Could he possibly follow in the steps of Blue Monday, even if the likes of Halling may be along way off?
January 19, 2007 at 11:09 #36159i watched the replay this morning of the 6-05 and how the racing post can have the brazilian horse IMPOSSIBLE SKI as missed break maybe unlucky doggers believe the poor sod stumbled that bad leaving the stalls it was chewing grass and still recovered for second
Should be able to win in G3 company now and if the opposition is of similar quality to last year he should be able to run with credit in higher company

Im not going to let myself get over that race. I had been saying all day how the south american form stands up so well early in the carnival (always has done) especially the Brazillian form. I looked over both of the horses (1st and 2nd) and liked the form, but then decided they probably need to step up a fair bit.
I don’t even think the likes of Notability and Parole Board had any excuses, both were under pressure fairly early and couldnt go the gallop.
Cant wait to see this Forty Licks out at the carnival sometime soon…………… Ian Jory says what he thinks and he thinks this is a ‘proper’ DWC horse.
January 19, 2007 at 13:05 #36162Barry,
were you laying any bets from the Dubai meeting yesterday, especially with all UK Racing off?
Stormont and Knockroe, Impossible Ski will get another
run soon at Dubai I assume.
January 19, 2007 at 15:08 #36163Sam, my betting shop punters were not interested, they preffered the FOBT’s, said it was too hard to equate the form, the results proves they were right.
Layers should love it then Barry, shouldn’t they?
January 19, 2007 at 15:19 #36165Too hard to equate the form, or perhaps adds more value to people who do?
Couldn’t believe Formal Decree touched 9/2 on BF…

9/2……………. i heard he reached 4’s, wow! trust me not to have to computer on for that race. The markets were strange yesterday. Most of the SP favs were not favs on the exchanges. They said when Notability was 10/3 in the offices he was being laid at 5’s on bf and Parole Board was being laid at shorter on the exchanges than he was in the offices.
And yes, i would hope that Brazillian horse will be out again soon, although it will be no price it what will probably be a better race later on in the carnival…….. so maybe worth laying it then.
But don’t underestimate any of the south american form, especially the Brazilian form it holds up very well. I noticed it last year and made quite a lot of money backing horses that had come from running in Brazilian group races and running well and they are nearly always over priced just because people havent heard of them.
January 24, 2007 at 20:59 #36167Another great card from Nad Al Sheba tomorrow with some top British and Irish horses. Mick Channon has a few runners with Championship Point and Royal Power both looking like they both should go close.
The Brazilian horses in the 6furlong race look good value.
Good luck to those who will be having a bet there tomorrow
January 24, 2007 at 21:51 #36168Looks an interesting clash between Darrfonah, the Boussac runner-up, the Cornwallis winner Alzerra and the Chevely Park fourth La Presse.
January 25, 2007 at 12:02 #36169My selections for todays card.
