I’m a mate of Lolly.
September 15, 2006 at 04:44 #103362I’ve always suspected as much, but it’s nice to have it confirmed…….
September 15, 2006 at 17:02 #103363I think I can claim to be the only forumite to have a horse named after him, rather than the other way round!
(Of course I’m assuming the owners named him in honour of my tipping prowess rather than in honour of South West London’s drabbest suburb).
<br>Sadly, Tooting, despite winning a bumper, does indeed seem to be living up to the family honour:
"Stuck to his task well"
but
"is nothing out of the ordinary".

September 17, 2006 at 22:22 #103366My name came from the page I wrote on the Quixall Crossett website up until about four years ago – won’t say it outlasted the site as the site is still very much alive, just hardly updated nowadays.
It has nothing to do with me being 50 feet tall and made of granite.

September 12, 2011 at 22:32 #370814Hi Greengreengrass I named myself after the only triple grand national winner, to date. As such he’s unique and always trying which sums me up also. However the 77 part was when he made history and also signifies my introduction into racing with a small each way bet on him.
September 13, 2011 at 18:00 #370862When I registered it just suggested I combine my own name with that of the family pet, so I did. As I’m a complete technophobe I am unable to change it to something more interesting [that would be a nice one; somethingmoreinteresting….]. So, it reflects my personality as a technophobe [that’s not a personality trait though, is it?]. As for being named after a favourite [quirky] horse it would be Oh So Risky..as far removed from my personality as is possible, being terribly staid and sensible. Duh….
September 13, 2011 at 23:35 #370903Moe, you have a pet called hat? Does it do tricks
September 14, 2011 at 01:23 #370909erm mines good enough my name.

September 16, 2011 at 22:06 #371142I randomly picked an obscure racehorse (one of the best mares of all time, actually) from the 1800s. I suppose it makes me look classier than I actually am.
