Looks like this will go to one of the 7lb penalty carriers. With a bit of luck pundits may read a bit into the collateral form of Martys Mission who has been behind both Punchestowns and Bensalem/Take the Breeze.

    1) Punchestowns
    2) Weird Al
    3) Seven is my Number

Getting 4/6 on Punchestowns would be great value in my book

The decs look a lot more competitive than I figured they might, but I’ll be disappointed (gutted more like) if Punchestowns can’t take this.

Seven Is My Number is no forlorn …er, number  but I would be surprised and disappointed if Punchestowns did not win this race.

Dare I say it but Punchestowns needs to win this more than the rest in the field if he is as good as they say he is.

I wouldn’t be suprised if Weird Al took this contest.

Beware the steady improver with strong course form ;)

Looking at the bigger picture, the RSA who i am firmly in the Mikael camp,i dont fear Punchestowns as i think his stamina will be tested,i do fear this Weird Al though,he is a very lightly raced and fast improving sort who will be suited to 3m,this race being 21/2m should suit Punchestowns the better but i will stick with the Weird one who is a natural chaser!

The Weird one comes from a weird race, reduced visibility due to the fog, a pedestrian time which I think played into his hands as a non stayer (Ducks the predictable barrage).
Punchestowns has only had the one outing so far this year and next time he will look a bit weird himself, but he will stay.

So much for Weird Al then! I will just watch with interest, particularly this Knockara Beau, good form!

Youve got two horses running there to show the Weird Al form; Knockara Beau and Pigeon Island

I do think Seven Is My Number has a good chance of upsetting the apple cart here though

Agreed Halfway, the problem with this race is for anyone that has backed Punchestowns for the RSA,it will tell them little if he wins easy.Obviously if he gets beat,it will tell them to rip up their Ante-Post vouchers!

Had to laugh when I saw the decs for the Freedom Hurdle!

And here was me hoping to get a price on Sentry duty

Bensalem would be the one to take Punchestowns on with in this imo.

Ten green bottles sitting on a wall, ten green bottles sitting on a wall, but if one green bottle should accidently fall, there will be 9 green bottles sitting on the wall! Not good for the 10 to follow Grass!

I reckon Pigeon Island might steal this receiving weight with course form and distance form. Go for the outsider!!

Let’s wait and see how he gets on, Gord, before determining the impact on my TTF.

It is definitely Punchestowns’ race to lose when you inspect the form – and Pigeon Island may be the one to do it!!
