The leaders are approaching the turn leading into the straight, on the run down hill to the second last hurdle before the final bend blah blah blah. That is Galway. What ever happened to the horses behind the first two ?Also too lazy to distinguish between the outside and the horse on the rail inside. Its the horse on the near side and the far side. Try figuring that out at the Curragh if you don’t know where he is!The far side at Leopardstown becomes the near side as they round the bend.Good for you Dessie.

Am I imagining things or did Tommo do an Irish gig recently – Down Royal perhaps?

Studying tomorrow’s card at Fairyhouse I just remembered my favourite Dessieism: he pronounces the presumably French "Mise En Place" (meese on plasse-put in place) as "missha on plasse", mixing the Irish word for me with the French for place- classic!

You could compile a book of Dessieisms at this stage!

Archbald (Harchibald) is my own personal favourite

Can I nominate his insistence on calling Hi Cloy as "Hoy Cloy".

    Does me ‘ead in!
