DAY ONE = The Dee Stakes –
Simply nominate your Dee Stakes 1-2-3 below

All you have to do to enter is nominate your 1-2-3 in the following Derby Trials –

    Chester Vase (complete)
    Dee Stakes
    Lingfield Derby Trial
    Derrinstown Stud Derby Trial
    Dante Stakes
    Predominate Stakes

(We’ll put a new thread up for each race)

You’ll accumulate points as follows –
Each prediction that finishes in the spot you nominate you get treble the SP (so if you pick the winner in the Chester Vase you get SPx3)
If your prediction finishes one spot out (say your 1. horse finishes second) you get SP x 2
And if you are two spots out (your 3. horse wins for example) you get the SP only.

You don’t lose any points for unsuccessful picks. Your points accumulate race by race.

In the event of a dead heat the player with the biggest priced winner wins, then the biggest priced second, etc.

    1 PARTY DOCTOR
    2 PROMPTOR
    3 DANCING DAVID

Party Doctor ran incredibly well over sprint distances as a 2YO for a horse who should stay 12F. He was competitive on unsuitably fast ground against the likes of Arcano and Showcasing before a creditable third in the Chesham. Recent victory at Wolverhampton should have boosted confidence.

Promptor lost his maiden tag around here under Hayley Turner and this race has been the target since. Easing conditions should suit and could be hard to catch with no obvious rival for the lead.

    Good Luck

Race didn’t go well for me.

Looks a very good trial for the Derby – a truly run race and you have to admire the attitide of the winner. Certainly looks a competitor at Epsom.

Hope all is well with Promptor, who never looked happy.

Well done to anyone who fared well and backed the winner.

I really like the winner Bosranic. He settled well and looked to have plenty qualities that’ll stand him in good stead at Epsom. 16/1 looks about right but he’s no forlorn hope.
