The Sire system is back. Last years winner Lambourn sired by Australia for his first Derby son victory. Available at 100-1 early in the year, did I get on? Did I Feck. Did at 12s though so fair. Also counts for extra special non-derby winning sires.
There are 7 horses currently in the market who fit the bill, all sired by Camelot and this WILL (possibly) be his year.
Pierre Bonnard 5/1 – Nuff said Fred
Christmas Day 50/1 – 9f group 3 winner on his last start for AOB
Port Ferdinand 50/1 – 7f winner on his only start for AOB
Del Maro 66/1 – Keeping on third behind Pierre in the Zetland for Charles Applebum
George Stubbs 66/1 – Unraced AOB, interestingly Mr. Stubbs was best known as a painter of horses
Golden Knight 66/1 – Winner over a mile on 2nd start for Ed Walker
Isaac Newton 100/1 – Staying on behind Pierre in the Criterium, big name, more expected?£2 on each for now. Any free bets received or pence in the accounts will be spread across all. Should have started this earlier but now is better than never.
March 18, 2026 at 20:07 #1760405Action going to chester and hopefully an other too. Excellent. Maybe see the derby winner 2 years running.
March 22, 2026 at 17:55 #1760732Hat trick for aidan today so hopefully a sign his string are quite forward this year. We shall see.
March 28, 2026 at 16:21 #1761314A few bob on George Stubbs at 66-1 before his debut today. Purely because of the name, and I think a Camelot will win this race at some point.
April 9, 2026 at 10:31 #176242214 entered for the Ballysax on Sunday. 13 of them from the O’Brien family and the one that isn’t is from a jumps trainer..

April 12, 2026 at 16:34 #1763402I like the look of Christmas Day, put a bit on him at 8-1 ew today in the Ballysax, and win only in the Derby at 40s.
April 12, 2026 at 17:06 #1763414Well done, green. That 40/1 looks good now!

“Nice one Green but that name needs changing.”
What, me or the horse?
April 12, 2026 at 20:15 #1763433The horse, I mean Father Christmas is just odd.
The more I know the less I understand.
April 12, 2026 at 20:21 #1763435Wasn’t there a Santa Clause a few years back or is my early dementia kicking in
Pierre lost first time out last season and it sounds like he had a training in public exercise with Aidan saying they were desperate to get a run into him

April 12, 2026 at 20:28 #1763437Oh good, I didn’t want to ask VtC to change it to Cabbage Looking, or something.
Christmas Day. It’s a bit…odd but better than Timbuktu and Waikikamucau or whatever else they call the colts and Maybe and Possibly and Discombobulated and Arguing or whatever else they call the fillies.
April 12, 2026 at 20:56 #1763444“Wasn’t there a Santa Clause a few years back”.
There was a Santa Claus that won the Derby, way back in 1964. Checking online, I didn’t realise he won the Irish Guineas and Irish Derby as well.
April 16, 2026 at 18:44 #1763881Smashing bet Greenasgrass, good luck
