Seems like jackane 24 is back on here and up to his old tricks

Haven’t you sussed that Triple Crown is the artist formerly known as Jackane 24 Jilly? He’s back with new education and superpowers!
(Actually does seem a lot more informed this time around!)Not been around here much so didn’t know that. Cheers

You won’t have pockets as you’ll be running around Epsom naked.
I take it you’re not going to try to talk your way out of that one?

February 10, 2008 at 00:19 #141815Zoso,
I have no problem with you laying Denman today, you thought the price was worth taking on. Barry Dennis agreed with you (to a degree) and I did not think he was value either. However, it was not just a matter of thinking the 1/5 fav was poor value, but believing a 12/1 chance should in fact be favourite. That is just amazing, whatever the eventual result. Now, I was willing to take your tissue as bravado, I thought, may be he believes Denman does have the best chance but just wants to make a name for himself. However, then you say about expecting Denman to finish third. Either you are trying to wind people up, just trying to get noticed, or really do have these views. If it is one of the first two then be aware it will not be too long before everyone ignores you.
If it is the latter and you have been telling the truth about putting serious money on, then I am seriously worried about your state of mind. It will not be long before you go broke. Everyone has winning runs and I think you may be fooling yourself that this run means something it does not.
It is clear at the moment you do not understand how bookmakers work, and until that time it is highly unlikely you will make an over all profit. And it would be wise to cut down on your stakes. Any punter who takes his betting seriously needs to know this.
Please do not think I am getting at you Zoso, as I am genuinely concerned.Ginge
Value Is EverythingFebruary 10, 2008 at 01:04 #141820joke thread! denman is a serious machine lets give an horse the respect he should have, coming out of novice company to have yet come off the bridle against top draw opposition, anyway the listener will hack up 2mara im close to this yard
February 10, 2008 at 07:51 #141829Well, if it was attention-seeking, it certainly worked.

February 10, 2008 at 09:56 #141853Aye Colin!
Most people study the form of a race and then make a decision. It appears Zoso just looks for ong odds on favs to get beat (decision) and then looks at the form to blindly make a case for defeat. One or two long odds on favs will occasionally loose. That is not skill. Thats luck and another example of mug punting.
All that tripe about Denman to finnish 3rd, lay of the decade and the case for CG as fav etc!!!
If Denman had been beaten (or if one of these odds on favs lays wins) I am sure we would be treated to an impressive bravado of I told you so.There are many knowledgable skilled readers of form on this forum who will find this approach ridiculous.
When you are in a hole you should stop digging.
February 10, 2008 at 10:11 #141855Well in the unlikely occurrence of Denman being beaten, he hasn’t really looked like falling even if his jumping wasn’t that great in the early days, Zoso would definitely have had the bragging rights.
1/7, 1/5, 2/9 all may have been too short but to get the horse beaten you have to visualise what horse is going to beat it. There didn’t seem to be any justification for Zoso’s analysis throwing up Celestial Gold as an odds-on shot and you have to feel that he/she was taking the pish.

February 10, 2008 at 11:46 #141885He’s stuffed Regal Heights by 20 lengths, giving away 6lbs. Regal Heights is rated 140.
No. Regal Heights was rated 150 going into yesterday’s race.
