I think Denman will be beaten today.

I would guess I am the only one but I think Celestial Gold will win this race before going on to land the Gold Cup. Regal Heights could also beat him.

You can start calling me names now, but if you do I will call you names back after Denman has lost so ne na na na na.

You gotta NU NU missing Buster. That’s plain Bad Manners.
And it should be ne ne na na na na nu nu.

Crazy pricing, Denman should be long odds on, but I will partly agree Zoso, should not quite be that short.

I have backed Regal Heights 24, 23 and 22/1. The other two horses are out of form so if anything did happen to Denman….

    Denman (11-10) 165 156 173 169 184 179
    Celestial Gold (11-0) 174 182 167 — 185 —
    Regal Heights (11-4) 157 156 142 130 143 170
    Ollie Magern (11-10) 149 — 165 129 167 99

Denmans RPR on Gd sft = 165, 161,
Celestial Golds RPR on Gd Sft = 168

Celestial Gold has the best chase form on Good-Soft and he is getting 10 l/b.

The form is all there in the book. Those nasty Racing Media types have filled all of your heads with hype and you have all fallen for it hook line and sinker. Denman should not be favourite today.

Regal Heights ran a lifetime best last time and this longer trip can improve him even more, Ruby Walsh can conjure up some magic and Regal Heights could win fair and square.

Ollie Magern is best fresh but if he runs up to his very best even he could beat Denman.

Remember if you, nail your colours to Denmans mast then you risk being labelled a ‘Denmaniac’ for the rest of your life.

What an utterly ridiculous price – Corals 1/7 all on the back of hype.

There is no way in the world this hyped up animal can give 10 l/b to Celestial Gold who is actually a better horse. You can bet your last penny that Pipe will have him tuned to perfection for this race. Denman is favourite purely on racing press hype.
Martin Pipes Shooting Light was Pulled Up the race before he won the Aon when he turned over odds on certainty Keen Leader. That horse also carried 11-0 and beat the odds on fav who carried 11-10.

Denman is not as good as everyone thinks, he beat Beef or Salmon by 5 lengths off level weights last time and they make him a 1/6 shot. Someone is having a wind up, no way this horse is a 1/6 shot.

7 is a significant number in cycles and Denman has won his last 7 races. He wont be making it 8 in a row, I simply cant have him.

This race has never been won by 2 favs in a row.

Denman has never beaten a good horse in his life (not one that warrants him being 1/6)

All the omens are in place, the hype horse will be defeated, no question about it in my mind.

    This is my book:

    Celestial Gold – 4/9
    Denman – 5/2
    Regal Heigts – 5/2
Ollie Magern – You can name your own price for this one.

This means you are working to 126.4% and thats without Ollie!
Wish I was your bookmaker Zoso. You should work a race out to 100%.

If you were my bookmaker Ginger I would put you out of business within a month.
126% book means nothing to me.
The book is a 100% book. eg; 100% of the bets I would take would be on Denman. 0% of the bets I would take would be on Celestial Gold and 0% of the bets I would take would be on Regal Heights. 126% book?? What planet do you come from.

Well I will be having my very own 100% book on betfair. A huge lay of Dirty Den at 1.21. Thats my book its 100% all about getting Denman beaten.
If he wins I will still be in business. You talk rubbish.

Why should I listen to the racing media??????

They should be listening to me.. Its a travesty. :D

I definitely wont be backing Denman today for two reasons:

    a) Hes far too short for me to bet

    b) If he is going along a similar plan as kauto star had for cheltenham last year then KS almost got chinned in this very race last year by L’ami a horse that he totally had outclassed on form. There is the chance that denman is not fully fit today andits just part of his prep.

Those are the reasons I personally wont be backing him, but I definitely wouldnt lay him and I definitely dont think he’s overhyped, if he’s fully fit it will be a walk in the park…

You might be after one race but betting like that you would not last long as a bookie.

The fact of the matter is if I showed you these figures:

    Denman (11-10) 165 156 173 169 184 179
    Celestial Gold (11-0) 174 182 167 — 185 —
    Regal Heights (11-4) 157 156 142 130 143 170
    Ollie Magern (11-10) 149 — 165 129 167 99

Denmans RPR on Gd sft = 165, 161,
Celestial Golds RPR on Gd Sft = 168

and replaced the horses name with – horse a , horse b, horse c and horse d.

There isnt one of you at these weights that could possibly make Denman favourite. You have been hoodwinked good and proper. The racing media have brainwashed you all. Denman should not be favourite end of story. If he wins, he wins – favourites dont always win but going into the race the horse should not on any evidence be favourite.

If Denman gets beat today, I’ll start supporting Rangers

That is how confident of victory for the big horse I am.

And how many hurdles races has Celestial had bright spark???

He made his debut over fences, never ran over hurdles in his life. That run was a wind up run for today. You will all be wound up when you realise that Celestial Gold is laughing at Dirty Den with half a mile to go.

Well if your not fast your last I have backed Denman…..in a double with The Listener at combined odds of 38/10 which is now over 1 point more than the current odds are. There is value in everything if you know where to look.

My one worry is not if The Listner gets beat life goes on….what I am worried about is if Denman gets beat we will never hear the end of it Zozo will be changing his name to "I am the One" and our lives will be misery.

So if there is a God please big man get the horse round safely and shut this complete nutter up forever

Just kidding Z to be honest horse never impressed me in the Lexus as much as he did others. I think Denman is like an accident waiting to happen and will get totally exposed in the Gold Cup as a one paced old yoke of a thing  well maybe not quite that bad, but I just don’t think on this ground Pipe’s horse is the one to expose any chinks in his armour, if he has any. The bookies are right on this occasion he is a 1/6 shot as the other 2 wouldn’t get within 20 lengths of him if they started now. But hey you go for it wouldn’t be the first time a horse has made a complete ass of the punter.

I am a big admirer of Denman and think he is an amazing galloper in the mold of Jodami, See More Business and other very good Gold Cup winners, but I do think he’s been hyped out of all proportion on what he’s actually done so far in his career. On reflection his Hennessy win was a good weight carrying feat, but not a great handicapping win in that he was entitled to beat that lot so easily and he had the run of a slow run race by being in the box seat all the way. His Lexus win was only workmanlike again in a slow run race.
However Ollie Magern and Celestial Gold are well short of Gold Cup class and probably behind the placed horses at Leopardstown. 1/6 is short, but he’s got at least 6lb on what he’s done so far and maybe another 6lb on what he could do.
