I just heard a rumour (unsubstantiated so far) that Denman is coughing and will miss the Lexus.
Forgive me if this turns out to be ballcocks, but it’s from a betting source and could be accurate and his price is drifting on Betfair, and all the fancy prices on the Listener seem to be drying up……

    Absolute rubbish.

Heard the rumour myself and Nicholls has stated that Denman coughed a little after the Hennessy but has worked everyday since and is in very decent condition.

See the Sporting Life website Carvills…

Nicholls says he coughed a couple of times on the Tues after the Hennessy but he’s been fine ever since.

If you are thinking of lumping on though, you’d be worried that something might linger in his system and only show up when push comes to shove in the race…

Hadn’t seen that story- hope it’s accurate as there’s no horse I’m looking forward to more over the Christmas.

I heard all Denman said was "Cough" "Cough" was I brilliant or what?

As this post is dead hope you don’t mind me using it to ask……. could anyone tell me where I could find a web site with the names of the horses Paul Nichols has in training?

Can’t remebember for the life of me, the name of a horse and can’t get back in touch with the source.

If you enter Nicholls and select "trainer" in the search facility towards the top right of the main page of the Post website you’ll be able to see any of his which have had a run in the last couple of seasons (including this one). It won’t help if its an unraced horse you are looking for, though.

    On RP online;;

    Click on Racing
From dropdown, click on stable tours
    click on Trainer
from dropdown click on P F Nicholls
    click on search for list

Might not be all of them, but may be on there.

Thanks guys found it. Wonder where I was 2 years ago

For what it’s worth I was having a drink in a very nice establishment in Bangkok. You can imagine

No big secret to this…….anyway, I was assured by a gentleman who I know to be a "Face" that Noland is catching pigeons at home and will run and win first time up fairly soon over fences. Anyone heard anything different?

Damned if I can find it entered anywhere but if anyone can enlighten me I would apprecaite it………just as a matter of interest…..this guy bets it it will probably start at 4/9 so no big deal.

Was actually more interested in some other info he was giving me but that’s for another thread….If the daft fooka on it pushes me any further………don’t we talk in riddles sometimes?

As I’ve said on another thread, Paul Nicholls has never been shy in stating just how highly he rates Noland so a victory FTO is fairly likely (I can’t imagine him risking him the way he did Made In Montot).

Perhaps this "face" should get in touch with Dick Dastardley then!

Joking aside, PFN has stated himself that Noland "has chaser written all over him" (no surprise there coming from him!) and that "he has a bright future over fences". When you consider he has an OR of 143 over hurdles, you’d expect him to join Nicholls ‘150 club’ sooner rather than later over the big jumps. Although the mere fact that he is Nicholls trained will mean that there is as much chance of him being any value FTO as there is of me getting the ride on him!
