Why didn’t he just pull it wide and put the race to bed, that was embarrassing.
That question takes me back to what was blindingly obvious during the race. The horse couldn’t handle the camber and when his rider did try to pull out to challenge on the stands’ side the horse just lugged back down the slope.
If you should ever visit Epsom I suggest you stand at the end of the track and look back down the straight. There’s a fearsome slope from left to right across the course and to my mind Book Keeper couldn’t cope with it.

Visit? I was born in Epsom Rob
July 30, 2010 at 21:51 #310100I saw a jockey repeatedly run his horse nto pocktets at the crucial part of the race, when it was clear on the other side.
I kow nothing about this race or Atjebi’s ride or Turner’s, but I’ve always put it down to following instructions, to keep the horse for a win on another particular day. Of course, I go into paroxysms of fury, even though I get what’s happening, or think I do.
I wonder if I’m right or it’s nonsense – just poor race-riding.

They aint listening to you Rob
They are back for more and with Ajtebi on again.11/10??? Your basically taking 11/10 on Ajtebi not to mess it up as its quite obvious on what we have seen that the horse is capable of winning the race.
11/10 about Ajtebi not making a mess of it. No thank you..
August 12, 2010 at 11:03 #312373I won a few quid yesterday and did the sensible thing, transferred it back to my bank account, so I couldn’t give it back.
My circumstances are that I’m not really holding today, so can’t back this horse, you can guarantee it’ll win now…
August 12, 2010 at 14:01 #312392Ahmed Ajteb is a good jockey going around a bend on the a/w. Put him on a straight track he lets the horse run as fast as it likes from the get go.If he has a front runner in a 5f sprint I might take a risk
August 12, 2010 at 14:04 #312395Apologies to anyone who might have backed it but I’m delighted it didn’t win.

What a dog of a horse. Although Ajtebi does nothing to inspire confidence in a horse..
Unfortunately it looks like Ajtebi ruined its best chance of winning a maiden last time out.
What is it about Godolphin being so bad at what they do at every level??
Sorry to everyone too but Im glad it lost too. Don’t like Ajtebi
