I know Graham. I have just walked in from walking the dogs (too hot in the daytime for them) and had a look to see how my men were doing!!
Reavie Casey and Xander are well positioned at the moment but still twenty seven holes to go and trying not to get too excited!! LOL
I had enough excitement this afternoon at York
I worked it out and in 25 races over four days I backed seven winners including a 66/1 winner and 10 seconds and plenty of forecasts too!!
Reavie winning would be the icing on the cake if it were to happen.August 24, 2019 at 22:58 #1452136For crying out loud, Ray ! Not you as well. I expect the three of you, you Gray and Dazzler, maybe Mom as well, will stop this thread to earn your keep from betting, full-time. And there was me, on the one hand, fuming that I had allowed myself to be sidetracked by another screen-subject on my pooter and missing the 16/1 winner of the Ebor (placed in a Group 3), tipped by a correspondent in the Guardian, which I had intended o bet on; and on the other hand, quietly pleased with myself for my near-miss – my moral victory which rewarded me with sweet Fanny Adams. (A nice girl mind you, and very proper).
August 24, 2019 at 23:10 #1452137I’ve been following the York competition Raymo and I knew you had cleaned up there.
Bloody brilliant sir I’ve done okay myself but was having a pretty shitty
last day until Que Amaro saved my bacon at 10/1 in the last. Not sure they will get the golf up and running again in the US, it looks like a long
day of golf tomorrow. You’ve got some trio up there, good luck with them, but it would
be nice if we could both have another good pay day with ReavieAugust 25, 2019 at 01:10 #1452139That was hard luck Grimes that you let Mustajeer slip through your fingers, he would have
have been a nice winner in one of the hardest races to fathom out.Good luck with your punt on Dean Burmester, he’s only 3 off the lead in Sweden and if he
has a final round anything like his 3rd round he would have a very decent chance. I see he
can still be had at 35/1, I hope you managed to get that or better and hopefully you’ve
stuck him e/w. Obviously I’m hoping that my man Van Rooyen keeps his head in front, but if
he falters I’ll be shouting on Darren’s Fitzpatrick and Wu, and your man Burmester. It’s
a bit like the 3 musketeers in here, one for all and all for one, as long as someone is
bringing home the bacon we’re happy. It would be nice if we all walked off into the sunset
with cash in our back pockets after play on SundayAugust 25, 2019 at 15:27 #1452175It looks like the bogey at the 14th for Fitzpatrick should leave it clear for Van Rooyen
who is now 3 ahead with 4 to go. Just in case of any hickups, I’ve had a bit of insurance
on Fitzy at 10/1, enough that it doesn’t really matter which one wins so I think I’m safe
enough. I won’t see the last 4 holes as I’m off to the hospital, but it’s definitely between
the 2 so I won’t have to sweat when I check the result laterAugust 25, 2019 at 15:37 #1452176Very well done, BigG. What a wonderful position that is to be in.
August 25, 2019 at 16:49 #1452179WELL DONE GRAHAM
And Darren close too !!Now lets see if we can’t get the Tour Champ winner too!!
By my reckoning
Xander -10
Rory -9
Casey -9
Cupcake -8
Reavie -5
Hideki -3
Decham -3They seem to be the only ones with a chance albeit slim for some of winning the 72holes comp!
August 25, 2019 at 20:52 #1452189Thanks guys, I’m well pleased with that result. I’m not long back in and I have to say thank
f%$k I took out the insurance bet on Fitzpatrick, if I hadn’t taken the bet to cover Van Rooyen,
I’d have been crapping myself coming to the last if I’d been watching it. It just shows how things
can turn quickly, and that’s why I always try and cover myself even when it looks like my guy is
running away with it. I read that Van Rooyen drilled in a 15 footer at the last to save a play off,
that takes a bit of balls so well done that man.Bad luck Darren, your man Fitzy did little wrong with a final round 64, it was a very close call.
I reckon you have a great shout with Rory, and he’s just gone to the top of the tree after 7 holes.
Best of luck mateRaymo your man Schauffele is just 1 back I make it, and Casey is not too far back either.
Our man Reavie slipped back a bit when they restarted, but he could still make the e/w w/o
the Fedex points. With a bit of luck we could all pick up a few quid hereAugust 25, 2019 at 21:24 #1452191Midway through the back 9 now, I make it the scores, without the additional points,
are…….Rory -11
Schauffele -9
Reavie -9
Koepka -8
Casey -7
Scott -4
DeChambeau -3
Kokrak -3
Kisner -2It’s touch and go guys
August 25, 2019 at 21:49 #1452193Ouch….Reavie, bogey + double bogey
August 25, 2019 at 23:29 #1452199I think maybe, for whatever reason, Rory had lost a little, but crucial, self-belief. I’m tickled pink with that and a little place bet on Burman at 35s – after an increasingly-painful series of losses. I really need some of my other bets on the tennis to win to be a bit more than a few pounds in pocket. But glad to have at least coverd my outlay.
Pleased to see my mentors have been winning place bets with long-shots, too, but I’m not sure, after your win odds of 66/1 and upwards, you won’t be pretty blase about those bets!!!
August 25, 2019 at 23:44 #1452200WELL DONE DARREN
My three finished second third and fifth!!! Grrrrr!!
But hey ho three good places
And well done Grimes welcome to the golf gang
August 25, 2019 at 23:52 #1452201Thanks, raymo. I’m sure enjoying it.
August 26, 2019 at 00:20 #1452202Great stuff Darren, he didn’t just win that he blew the field apart
You were knocking on the door the whole way Raymo, but no keeping with
Rory at the end. Three great e/w’s though, and I’m glad, for both our sakes,
that Reavie birdied the last. I thought after his bogey, double bogey that
he was gone. I’m more than happy with the 80/1 place tonight after Van Rooyen’s
heroics in Sweden this afternoon.Well in there Grimes with Rory and a nice e/w with Dean Burmester this
afternoon……….welcome to the partyAugust 26, 2019 at 11:08 #1452204BigG well done with Van Rooyen though if i done the Fiztpatrick Rory win double i been gutted you see 14th hole mate
Fitzy 2nd shot hit the flagpole and role off the green got a bogey there watching it was murder and your guy got a birdie on last he didGrimes must be happy mate with Rory like me nice 8/1
So far this year been a average year on golf i normally get 16 winners a year though in 2012 got 22 now up to 6winners but am in form now 3 winners in 5weeks Morikawa 14/1 Thomas 16/1 and Rory 8/1
Also guys has you know BigG do our money list bets DJ nowhere De Chambeau same but i had Patrick Cantlay 100/1 where he finish 4th so outside of top 3 gutted over that to.
Onwards to European masters and Korn ferry event Tour championship
August 26, 2019 at 15:56 #1452212Omega European masters
MATTHEW FITZPATRICK 10/1
Suprise Hills offer this price but happy i took it as other firms 8/1.No doubt he form player around here yes Rory fave but question is will he be up for this event after banking 15million dollars.Look at Fitzy here he a back to back winner here going for 3 in a row also 2nd here in 2015.He playing world class golf this year a title on the way could be here this week at a venue he adores.Get over being 2nd with a 3rd win here
DANNY WILLETT 33/1
This guy in same boat at Fitz this year been playing well but no trophy most of those events been in PGA tour so back at a venue he won at before every chance of bold showing this week why been gutted not made East Lake he can be big danger to Fitz
MARCUS KINHULT 90/1
Was 10th here in 2015 but since then has come on in leaps and bounds as a player who is always one to look out for in tests like these links style events and after a slow start got scores of 66 64 at weekend to suggest should not be forgotten here.
ROMAIN LANGASQUE 110/1
French player who a super talent was 3rd in Scottish open very good by him recent few events not been good but showed can handle it here when 7th in 2016 if can find Scottish open form he a dangerous outsider
ASHUN WU 125/1
Won around this time of year in 2018 and last 2years here at this venue been 8th and 9th though was 20th in the end in Sweeden he done enough think a big run here in him
guys when all firms got prices for Korn ferry tour championship i have bets for that event to.
August 27, 2019 at 10:37 #1452244Have only bet on one golf tournament this week so picked six instead of my usual four. Eight places though
